Why Bachelorette Fans Think Noah's Fence Jump Looks Familiar
When Noah Erb popped out of the limo to kick off Tayshia Adams' season of The Bachelorette, he immediately stood out thanks to his mustache, which — spoiler alert! — Tayshia eventually got him to shave off. Then, he somehow managed to get a group date rose even though he wasn't actually on the date in the first place. Chasen Nick was supposed to fight Ed Waisbrot, but Ed pulled out due to a previous shoulder injury. Noah was in the audience, as a spectator, while the guys fought each other in the ring, hoping to catch Tayshia's eye in the process.
After Ed told host Chris Harrison that he had to pull out from battling Chasen, Chris asked if anyone else wanted to step in and fight Chasen instead. None of the guys who were actually part of the date volunteered. That's when Noah leaped up, hopped the fence, took off his shirt, and oiled up, ready to throw some punches. Of course, this isn't the first time that Bachelor Nation has seen a guy scale a fence. On Colton Underwood's season of The Bachelor, he famously jumped the fence when Cassie Randolph quit the show. Immediately after that, he dumped Tayshia and Hannah Godwin to pursue Cassie. It really felt like a full circle moment in some ways, with Tayshia finally getting a guy who's willing to take the leap (literally). Fans just couldn't help drawing comparisons to Colton's big moment.
Noah Erb channelled Colton Underwood with the fence jump
Noah Erb hopping that fence for Tayshia Adams gave Bachelor Nation a sense of déjà vu, which is oh-so-fitting since Tayshia was a contestant on Colton Underwood's season. One fan mused, "Colton walked so Noah could run." Another person wasn't a fan of the gesture, tweeting, "Noah we all know what happened the last time a Bachelor hopped a fence for a woman hashtag cringe." Someone else described Colton's fence jump as "the only bachelor nation fence jump in my mind that matters."
Someone else hit the caps lock key and wrote, "NOAH WE DON'T JUMP FENCES ANYMORE THAT'S CANCELLED WYD." Considering the eventual messiness and restraining orders that followed Colton and Cassie Randolph's split, any ode to Colton's moves simply doesn't sit well with some people. The Knot tweeted, "When Tayshia said 'Noah you jumped a fence for me,' Did anyone else get....major....flashbacks?" Yes, lots of people, actually. Eventually fans will find out if the gesture will pay off in the end.
