Jersey Shore: Inside Deena And JWoww's Relationship With Angelina
Following months of drama, Jersey Shore: Family Vacation's Jenni "JWoww" Farley and Deena Cortese are finally revealing where they stand with castmate Angelina Pivarnick after their wedding speech snafu.
For those who may not remember, Jenni, Deena, and Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, who isn't returning for Season 4, made a toast at Angelina's 2019 wedding that many found to be insulting. Although the girls called Angelina "the dump to their island," as reported by Champion Daily, Deena professes that they didn't have ill intensions. "We thought since Angelina always says, 'I never take myself seriously,' she would truly laugh at the stuff we said ... clearly we were wrong ... we're friggin' human ... people make mistakes," Deena told In Touch Weekly in an interview published on Nov. 17, 2020.
Despite their intent, their words sparked an ongoing feud with their costar and a wave of criticism on social media. Ahead of the premiere of the latest season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, Deena and Jenni shared where they stand with Angelina today. Deena and Jenni are playing nice for the sake of 'Jersey Shore'
It's apparent Deena Cortese and Jenni "JWoww" Farley didn't mean any malice toward blushing bride Angelina Pivarnick, but they were met with online criticism after fans saw the drama play out on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. "I mean, you know, it was definitely a tough, tough couple months, almost a year with the whole wedding debacle," Deena, who's expecting baby No. 2, told In Touch Weekly about the social media backlash and attempt to mend her bond with the Staten Island native.
As for JWoww, it appears she is putting her feelings to the side in the best interest of the show, despite alluding to some current tension with Angelina. "It's relatable to the fact that if you have a coworker you don't like," Jenni told the outlet of her relationship with Angelina. "You try and do something for the better of, for me personally, the better the show, the betterment of my roommates. I'm just trying to figure out how to move forward ... even if it's not like a friendship, but it's for the betterment of everybody," she explained. "And I think that's truly where I'm at with the relationship."
