The Truth About The Bachelorette's Spencer Robertson

The Bachelorette has taken as many twists and turns as any reality show possibly can. Clare Crawley started out as the leading lady, only to promptly fall in love with Dale Moss and wave bye-bye to her slightly jilted crew of suitors.

In an unprecedented move, producers brought in Tayshia Adams, according to Marie Claire, who has been put in the situation of restarting the halted season. Reality Steve took it one step further, saying that ABC producers put Tayshia in the unfair position of having to "save" the season. But there seems to be the promise of normalcy, at least in terms of Bachelor Nation "normal," because Tayshia has admitted she's fallen for more than one guy. (Now that sounds like the dating show we've been waiting for!)

So, as Tayshia kicked off her reign as Bachelorette, things unfolded nicely. She met Clare's 16 remaining men, per Reality Steve, and then Chris Harrison brought in four new guys: Montel Hill, Noah Erb, Peter Giannikopoulos, and Spencer Robertson. While this involved a lot of new names, the one we are most interested in right now is Spencer Robertson for one very specific reason. Here's the scoop and *warning* spoilers ahead!

Spencer Robertson caught Tayshia Adams' eye right away

After meeting her crew of men on her first night on The Bachelorette, Tayshia Adams had to opt out of a rose ceremony, according to Reality Steve. Her reason? She needed more time to get to know everyone. And you know what? That makes perfect sense to us! However, Tayshia did end up giving out a few roses during the episode.

Chris Harrison brought four more men in on Tayshia's first night to bring her number of eligible suitors up to 20 and one of these new arrivals was Spencer Robertson (pictured with his cousin). This fresh face wound up winning Tayshia's first impression rose, so we've obviously got our eye on him. Who is this cutie pie?

Spencer hails from La Jolla, Calif., which also happens to be Tayshia's home state, as well, according to Marie Claire. Spencer's Instagram account seems to indicate that he has since moved to San Diego. Spencer also appears to be very athletic, with a special interest in lacrosse, and loves being out on the water. Spencer graduated from the University of Oregon in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in chemistry, per his LinkedIn page, and he's a water treatment engineer, running the company Robertson Water Treatment as its president. It seems like Spencer is not a super active social media user, as he does have Twitter too, but doesn't tweet very often.

Nevertheless, he caught Tayshia's attention and, while we're not saying anything about his ultimate outcome on the show, Spencer's definitely one to watch as Tayshia embarks upon her journey as the Bachelorette.
