The Subtle Detail You Missed During The Fireworks After Biden's Speech

Following their 2020 election victory, President-Elect Joe Biden and Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris addressed the nation with televised speeches. Of course, their words resonated with many Americans watching both in person and at home, but there were other details from the event that stood out. For instance, Harris walked onto the stage to the Mary J Blige's song "Work That," and Biden briskly jogged out to stage to the song "We Take Care of our Own" by Bruce Springsteen. After the speeches, family members joined Biden and Harris on stage, while fireworks boomed and twinkled. Along with the light show, a familiar song played, "A Sky Full of Stars" by Coldplay, which was not a coincidence.

According to CNN correspondent Arlette Saenz, "Beau Biden certainly loomed large over everything tonight." She said Coldplay was Beau's "favorite band" and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin performed at Beau's funeral " after he had heard that Beau Biden was a fan of his music." That was a truly special touch that moved many Americans.

Twitter was moved by the Beau Biden tribute

The tribute to Joe Biden's late son, Beau (pictured right), during the campaign's victory remarks made a lot of Americans very emotional.

As one person tweeted, "They played Coldplay's 'A Sky Full of Stars' after Joe Biden's victory speech because it was his son Beau Biden's favorite song and no I'm not crying YOU'RE CRYING." Another confessed, "I honestly thought i was done crying. I am not." This person summed it up with this tweet: "Okay more ugly crying now... that @coldplay song was BEAU'S favorite song and was played at his funeral. His memory deeply embedded in this historical moment."

Beau died from brain cancer in 2015, at age 46, but his presence was truly felt as his family looked to the sky to celebrate the conclusion of the 2020 presidential election and mark the beginning of the important work to come.
