Why Fans Think Lil Wayne And Denise Bidot Just Broke Up
Mercury retrograde (a celestial phenomenon that scrambles communication-related matters, for those who believe in astrology) seems to be doing a number on celebrity relationships! Alongside Tiffany Haddish and Common, it looks like Lil Wayne and his girlfriend Denise Bidot have also faced breakup rumors. Fans noticed in November 2020 that the rapper-model couple no longer follow one another on Instagram nor any social media platform. Before reports of their alleged break up, Bidot was the only person Wayne followed.
Bidot fanned the flames of speculation when she shared a cryptic message to her Instagram Story on Nov. 2, 2020, writing, "Sometimes love just isn't enough...," according to Madame Noire. That same day, the fashion model took to Twitter to share another note about the non-stop rollercoaster of 2020. She tweeted, "Wow ... can this year be over already."
Although it's not confirmed whether the two broke up, fans have already concluded why Weezy and his boo may have abruptly ended things. Here's everything we know about the rumors.
Did Lil Wayne and Denise Bidot break up over politics?
After Lil' Wayne, aka Weezy, and Denise Bidot began dating in June 2020, things seemed to be going well. Bidot retweeted a video of her rapper bae's performance at the 2020 BET Hip-Hop Awards in October 2020 with the caption, "They did that!" A mother earlier, the uncanny couple took a trip to the Dominican Republic to celebrate Wayne's birthday. The model even took the time to write a loving tribute to the Young Money CEO in a now-deleted post on Instagram (via People), writing,: "Happy Birthday to the man who managed to steal my heart during a pandemic. These past 5 months have been filled with more love, passion and laughter than I ever thought possible."
Although the relationship seemed perfect, it looks like Mr. Carter's political views might have been a red flag for Bidot. The news of their breakup came just days after Lil' Wayne seemingly endorsed President Donald Trump for the 2020 presidential race. Weezy's public support of Trump resulted in intense backlash from fans as well as Bidot's social media followers. Bidot has yet to publicly comment on her potential ex's announcement nor the status of her relationship as of this writing.
From the looks of it, "Tunechi" might be watching the results of the 2020 presidential election alone on Election night.
