Why Brittany From 90 Day Fiance Made Yazan Lose His Job
What started as a whirlwind romance is now a category five hurricane of chaos for 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way stars Brittany Banks and Yazan Abo Horira. After a chance encounter over FaceTime, Brittany and Yazan embarked on a quick and hasty long-distance relationship spanning continents. Shortly after, Yazan arranged (ahem, paid) for Florida-based Brittany to visit him in his native Jordan, and during the trip, he asked for her hand in marriage. She said yes. You know the drill...
But the love story didn't end there. Shortly after returning to the United States, Brittany was purportedly shocked and dismayed to learn that she was still very much married to a man that she wed at the ripe old age of 17. The reason: The paperwork did not get finalized, as Showbiz Cheat Sheet noted. YIKES. What's even worse? Brittany is afraid to tell Yazan and his parents out of fear that they won't accept her past. But now that the aspiring rapper has moved to Jordan, with Yazan's family pushing for a wedding ASAP, time is running out to fix the situation.
During an October 2020 episode of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, things deteriorated even further for the couple. Now, it appears that Yazan is jobless due to his relationship with Brittany. But how is Brittany to blame for Yazan's recent bout of misfortune? Keep reading after the jump to find out!
Yazan got kicked out of his house and fired
It's no secret that Yazan Abo Horira's family has concerns about his relationship with Brittany Banks. Not only are they worried that she won't convert to Islam, but they are suspicious about her reasoning for delaying the marriage. Oh, and did we mention the explosive fight between Brittany and Yazan's mom? The matriarch accused the Florida resident of disrespecting her son and their family.
As for the latest drama? Yazan's conservative parents flipped out when learning of Brittany's racy Instagram photos, as Screen Rant noted. Yazan's father confronted him about the pictures and gave him an ultimatum about his relationship with Brittany. When he indicated that he had zero intentions of canceling the engagement, his father promptly kicked him out of the house and fired him from the family fish market business. Later in the episode, Yazan meets with his friend, Mohammed, and confessed that the tension with his family has been quite hard. "I don't talk to anyone. I spend my time alone. I swear Mohammed, this had been the most difficult, truly the most difficult time I've been through," he divulged.
When all of this went down with Yazan's family, Brittany was in her former home of Chicago, trying to settle her divorce. It's unclear what will happen when she returns to Jordan.
