What We Know About Jeff Bridges' Cancer Diagnosis
Jeffrey Leon Bridges, professionally known as Jeff Bridges, is a part of what we would call "Old Hollywood." With a career that started as early as the '50s, Bridges has been (and continues to be) a leader in cinema, music, photography, and even environmentalism.
"I started to think about what's this future that's so beautiful look like if we can turn it all around," Bridges said in a July 2020 interview with Rolling Stone. "What would that be like in 100 years? And the image that came was a bunch of folks that love each other, take care of each other, and cared about the planet. And then it popped into my mind, 'Well I don't have to wait for that. I can love right now.' I don't know about hope, but that seems like the best idea."
His cool, calm, and collected persona cemented his place as an icon that spans the generations. That's why it pained many fans and peers when the Hollywood heavyweight announced his cancer diagnosis on Oct. 19, 2020. Keep scrolling for the full details.
