Where Did They Film The Bachelorette?
The Bachelor mansion is nothing short of iconic. However, Season 16 of The Bachelorette changed things up a bit — in more ways than one. Instead of starting the season at the usual location, everyone was quarantined together in one place with zero traveling involved thanks to the coronavirus pandemic. In July 2020, People shared photos of Clare Crawley filming at La Quinta Resort in Palm Springs, Calif. An inside source commented that "entire resort is shut down and nobody but the cast and crew is there."
The insider added that "the resort is essentially a protective bubble" because "nobody is coming and going." Well, that's almost true. Bachelor host Chris Harrison had to take a break from shooting after he dropped his son off at college. Apparently, they decided to film at La Quinta because the resort is "so spread out" and "mostly outdoors," which makes sense given the whole "no travel" aspect of the season.
"This summer, you could find roses in the desert," the resort's Instagram account teased. "We were honored to join @ClareCrawley on her journey to find love while providing a breathtaking backdrop for this season's @bacheloretteabc." And, now that the show has finished shooting, you can stay there, too!

After Season 16 of The Bachelorette wrapped, La Quinta Resort & Club re-opened for business. That means that anyone can now enjoy the same setting that Clare Crawley did on her Bachelorette dates. The resort has 41 different pools to swim in and some hot tubs because, well, this is The Bachelorette, after all.
While it sounds like a bummer to be stuck in one place to film The Bachelorette, there are three restaurants on the premises, so there's really no need to leave La Quinta anyway. There are five different golf courses to choose from, which means we should expect at least one golf date this season. And, if anyone at La Quinta ends up feeling like the clothes they packed just aren't cutting it, there are some clothing stores at the hotel, as well. As far as the lodging goes, there are rooms, villas, and suites. So yes, they're at one place this whole time, but they are far from "stuck." There's plenty to do, even if you're not competing for roses.
