How Colt's Mom Really Felt About Larissa On 90 Day Fiance

While Colt Johnson's love stories on 90 Day Fiancé included rollercoaster relationships with Larissa Dos Santos Lima and Jess Caroline, the true leading lady in his life is his mom, Debbie. Debbie has been through his side through any breakups — and she may have even played a role in those breakups happening. (Hello, Larissa and Debbie fought a ton!)

Now that both romantic relationships are in Colt's past, how did his mom really feel about those exes? Specifically, how did she feel about her son's ex-wife Larissa, who's continued to appear on the 90 Day franchise? Well, Debbie opened up in a July 2020 interview with Entertainment Tonight correspondent Lauren Zima (who you may also recognize as the girlfriend of beloved Bachelor host Chris Harrison). And let's just say this protective mom did not hold back.

Imagine not only disagreeing with your ex's parents, but having them diss you publicly — and compare you to another one of his your ex's exes. That's the predicament Larissa Dos Santos Lima found herself in. When Larissa's ex-husband Colt Johnson's mom Debbie was asked about Colt's exes, she actually said she preferred Larissa to Jess Caroline, which sounds nice enough... until you hear her reasoning.

Here's what Debbie had to say to Entertainment Tonight to defend her choice: "Because Larissa's evil, but she's honestly evil. I'm not gonna say that, she's not evil, she's just... I trust Larissa because I know her and I know what she's about. Jess is a total mystery to me." Apparently, per the outlet, Colt "appeared shocked by her answer."

Not only did Debbie spill the tea on Larissa, but she dished more about Jess, who she referred to as a "party person." "I like Jess but I don't think she's the right person for Colt... I think Colt needs to spend a lot of time seeing what's out there, who's out there and finding out what he really wants in his life or a partner," Debbie said.

Well, despite Debbie's slightly harsh comparison of Jess and Larissa, the pair probably couldn't care less. Based on their Instagram posts, they're pals themselves — and they've both moved on romantically. Larissa is dating Eric Nichols, while Jess got married to Brian Hanvey and couldn't seem happier.
