Here's How Jenny From 90 Day Fiance Really Feels About Sumit's Mom
If there's any television show that has a wild mix of people and personalities, it's 90 Day Fiancé. And when the show premiered in 2014, it was an immediate hit. Viewers got a chance to watch Americans "fall in love" with their foreign fiancés as they travel to the United States on a 90-day K-1 visa. Then, the bets are on to see which couples make it down the aisle within three months or goes their separate ways. The interesting relationships led to many spin-offs, including 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? and 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way.
One of the more curious and memorable pairs from the franchise is Jenny and Sumit, who made their debut on Season 1 on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way. According to Showbiz CheatSheet, Sumit catfished Jenny in the beginning, but she stayed with him anyway. It pretty much went downhill from there since Jenny then discovered that Sumit was already in an arranged marriage organized by his parents. Sumit proceeded to start divorce proceedings and remain with Jenny, despite his parents' wishes. Jenny even moved to India to be with Sumit, and in Season 2, they must convince his parents to accept their relationship. Dra-ma.

Jenny claims Sumit's mom lied
90 Day Fiancé star Jenny gave an interview with Entertainment Tonight's Melicia Johnson in October 2020 to defend herself against Sumit's mother, Sahna, and his father, Anil. According to ET, Sahna said she didn't know Jenny was dating Sumit when she visited India in 2013. She also said Jenny told her she was just a Facebook friend, to which Jenny said was a lie.
"Of course they knew we were in a relationship, we've been together since 2011 and [I came to India in] 2013, so, they knew. That's all I can say," Jenny said. "They have their reasons for not wanting to admit that they knew we were in a relationship. They have their reasons and I can't say what the reasons are, but I know what they are, and you'll find more about what happens with me and his parents as the season moves along." Jenny also disputed the claim Sahna made about the two women being good friends. "I'm a nice person and she grew to like me and she was just very nice to me. I was never friends with her, ever," Jenny clarified. "I did not know her like that. She came off like we were friends — no, not true at all. We were never friends and she knew that Sumit and I love each other."
Who knows what's in store for this family, but here's hoping it gets better.
