Tyler Cameron Had One Rule When He Quarantined With Hannah Brown
Tyler Cameron met Hannah Brown on the 2019 season of The Bachelorette. Tyler proposed to Hannah by the end of the season, but our girl turned him down for Jed Wyatt. However, that romance ended too (turns out Jed had a girlfriend while he was on the show... Jed?? How dare you?!)
Since that disappointment, Hannah and Tyler connected again through shared heartbreak. In an October 2020 YouTube video, the exes joined forces to reveal that they commiserated when Hannah's brother, Parker Brown, overdosed, and Tyler's mom, Andrea Cameron, passed away from a brain aneurysm in March 2020. According to Page Six, Parker thankfully survived the overdose and entered a rehab center in Texas. With all of this trauma around them, Hannah and Tyler reconnected and wound up quarantining together during the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in Tyler's home in Jupiter, Fla. Naturally, the sightings of the duo reunited again caused a spate of dating rumors
After months of breathless tabloid speculation, the two reality stars explained everything. Speaking on the trauma, Tyler said: "We were kind of leaning on each other at this point. We were both going through things, so we were kind of each other's support system all of a sudden. You of course have your family there but it's always nice to have someone outside to lean on as well."
Makes total sense. But while they were quarantining together, Tyler came up with one specific rule they had to adhere to. Here's what it was.
Tyler Cameron: 'I'm not hooking up'
In a YouTube video shared to Hannah Brown's channel, Hannah sat with Tyler Cameron to explain what really happened during their quarantine together. While fans were speculating that they got together, Hannah gave the truth: "People think we were hooking up the whole time. Never kissed."
Naturally, because the two of them were in such tough places with Tyler's mom passing away and Hannah's brother's overdose, they were both pretty fragile. "I didn't want to do something, because I was in a bad place or vulnerable," Tyler explained. As such, Tyler came up with a rule for them. "I made a rule. I'm not hooking up, I'm not doing nothing, because I don't want you to go away, and us do something, and then you go away and I go away and then we're like 'Oh I don't feel that' and we're upset again at each other."
So they didn't hook up and instead, just focused on supporting each other. Tyler said to Hannah later in the video, "You were able to bring light to a very dark time." The duo also mentioned some stresses and frustrations that came up between them during quarantine, but they've remained close throughout it all.
Where does this leave them now? Hannah said that they're "trying to be cool being friends." Hey, sounds good to us!
