90 Day Fiance's Deavan Clegg Has Sad News About Her Marriage To Jihoon
Deavan Clegg and Jihoon Lee lived out their budding relationship on TLC's 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, a reality show that documents U.S. citizens moving to their long-distance partners' home countries.
Deavan moved to South Korea with her daughter Drascilla (from a previous relationship) and her son, Taeyang, whom she and Jihoon share, according to In Touch Weekly. The couple's time in South Korea was stressful and in May 2020, Deavan surprised fans by posting pictures of herself in her native Utah. While Deavan's mom, Elicia, initially claimed that Deavan was back because she "got stuck" in the States due to the coronavirus pandemic, Deavan confirmed in August 2020 that she had permanently moved back home for a "horrible reason," according to In Touch.
To make matters even more eventful, the 90 Day Fiancé star started dating aspiring actor Topher Park and shared photos of him with her son on Instagram but has since deleted them. Fan backlash was so intense that Deavan directly responded to it — and it was in her response that she confirmed that she and Jihoon are getting divorced. Keep reading for the details.
Deavan is trying to finalize her split from Jihoon
Deavan Clegg clapped back at social media trolls after people criticized her for embarking on a new relationship with Topher Park. She piped up via Instagram Stories on Sept. 22, 2020, and in her post, she also confirmed that she and Jihoon Lee are getting divorced, per Pop Culture.
"Woke up to a lot of hate mail. I want to say this once: I've tried to get the divorce finished. Jihoon has not yet signed," Deavan wrote. "I've been trying, so everyone leave me alone about that situation."
As Deavan has continued to defend herself against fan outrage, she added that Jihoon blocked her and so she's unable to communicate with him or co-parent, according to In Touch Weekly.
Jihoon actually confirmed that he blocked Deavan in a post he shared on Instagram in early September 2020. He also addressed the fact that Deavan has moved on and his son may have a different father-figure around, saying: "The reality is terrible. I know all this sh*t. Like he's going to have a new father. Do you know how it feels? My heart is always breaking." Jihoon added, "And I don't want to get involved in their lives. So I blocked them all."
According to Pop Culture, Jihoon also jumped on Instagram Live and when asked about custody of his son, mentioned he'll try "yearly visits" to stay connected.
There's a lot going on in Deavan and Jihoon's split, but divorce seems imminent.
