Here's How Much Rachel Uchitel Is Really Worth
Remember Rachel Uchitel? The socialite was seemingly everywhere in the 2000s, at the intersection of several major tragedies and scandals. Her photo became one of the defining images of the 9/11 recovery mission when she appeared on the cover of the New York Post holding a photo of her missing fiancé. She then made a career working in nightlife where she earned a reputation for being involved with celebrity men, including rumored liaisons with both Tiger Woods and Bones star David Boreanaz. Uchitel was able to parlay this experience into TV, earning a spot as a nightlife reporter on Extra.
She later magnified her stardom by appearing in the fourth season of Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew. Per TMZ, Dr. Drew reportedly personally approached Uchitel to convince her to appear on the series. The show doubled their initial offer to $500,000 to convince the socialite to appear on the show. But while Uchitel made out quite well from her appearance on the reality show, that amount is just a fraction of the earnings she has amassed in the decade since.
Rachel Uchitel is worth a lot more than you think
In 2020, Rachel Uchitel's net worth is estimated to be a whopping $10 million, according to CelebrityNetWorth. In addition to her earnings from Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew, much of her wealth can be attributed to her work as a TV correspondent, and from her time as a VIP host in New York City and Las Vegas in the 2000s. Of her time in the club world, Uchitel confirmed to New York magazine, "At my best, I made $250,000 base, plus a guaranteed $250,000 from the tip pool," amounting to at least half a million dollars per year hosting.
What about the rest of the money? Uchitel continues to work in nightclub management in NYC, per CelebrityNetWorth. She also opened a boutique on the Upper West Side of Manhattan in 2013, but by 2016 it had moved to Scarsdale, a New York suburb. As of 2020, it has permanently closed.
Lastly, Uchitel was reportedly paid $10 million in hush money from Tiger Woods, but she was rumored to have returned it after violating the terms of the agreement. When asked about the settlement, Uchitel told New York magazine, "Clearly I have no comment."
While we may never know for sure how Uchitel made out from the scandals of the late 2000s, one thing is for sure: she made out pretty well.
