Inside Tituss Burgess' Extreme Weight Loss And Plastic Surgery
Netflix's Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt was an immediate hit for the streaming service. After its debut in March 2015, it was clear that the breakout star of the comedy series was Tituss Burgess who played main character Kimmy Schmidt's eccentric roommate Titus Andromedon. Though Burgess played an aspiring (and struggling) actor and singer on the show, he is actually a pretty successful actor and singer in real life. The Atlanta native is classically trained in the art of musical theatre and has been steadily working since his Broadway debut in the 2005 musical Good Vibrations.
With the success of Kimmy Schmidt, the Emmy-nominated actor has been in the limelight, which may have influenced his choice to get a bit of "nip-tuck" work following his extreme weight loss journey. Burgess debuted his new bod via Instagram in September 2020. But what exactly did the star have done? Keep scrolling for the details.
Titus Burgess said he had a few "little arrangements"
Tituss Burgess admitted to getting plastic surgery in a very discreet and classy way. During an E! News "Red Carpet From Home" pre-Emmy event, Burgess said, "I'mma tell you the truth. I had a few arrangements." On further explanation, he added, "That's exactly what I had, a few Walter Mercado arrangements. I'm going to be perfectly honest with you." The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt actor referenced how famed Puerto Rican astrologer Walter Mercado phrased his many cosmetic surgeries as "little arrangements," according to People.
He continued, "I have nothing to hide! I even talked about it on social media. The one thing I wanted to do during this time off was have some nip-tuck because my weight has gone up and down. And so after that happens, the skin gets a little saggy so I got that s*** cut off. This is the result and I look amazing."
