The Real Reason This Love Island Star Disappeared From The Show
After only two episodes, Love Islander's Noah Purvis has suddenly vanished from the series. The 24-year-old Missouri native made his first appearance on the CBS dating show on Sept. 17, 2020 — Day No. 26 of the show, but by the Sept. 20 episode, Purvis was completely gone from the series, reported Decider. What the heck happened?
While his time on the show may have been short and sweet, Purvis still managed to make waves on the series, playing an integral role in the elimination of Islander Mercedes Schell and shooting his shot with fellow contestant Moira Tumas.
Perhaps the only thing more odd than the abrupt disappearance of Purvis, was the way in which CBS handled it — with zero explanation. Instead of addressing the situation head-on, the powers that be simply kept mum, sweeping it all under the proverbial reality TV rug. Viewers of the show were left collectively scratching their heads wondering why Purvis suddenly went MIA.
So why exactly was the Islander's time cut so short? Keep reading to find out.
CBS says Noah Purvis violated his contestant agreement
After much speculation from viewers, CBS and ITV America finally released a statement to Entertainment Tonight explaining Noah Purvis' swift departure from the popular dating show Love Island.
"It has been brought to our attention that cast member Noah Purvis provided false information on his application to Love Island, which violates his contestant agreement. He has been removed from the show," the statement read. The statement still didn't paint a clear picture as to what kind of false info Purvis provided and how it impacted his agreement. According to the Daily News, there's been speculation that the Love Island contestant "exited the show over alleged undisclosed participation in gay porn."
At the time of this writing, Purvis has not issued his own statement regarding his removal from the series.
