Tracee Ellis Ross' Risque Emmy Outfit Is Turning Heads
The red carpet for the 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards unfortunately looked a lot different this year. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the award show had to undergo some major changes in order for the event to take place safely. Instead of a fancy gathering with crowds of cameras and reporters swarming celebs as they debut fashion-worthy looks, the show took place virtually with the stars accepting their coveted Emmys from the comfort of their own homes.
So, because the award show didn't exactly have a regular red carpet this year, a lot of celebrities toned down their evening wear — but the dazzling Tracee Ellis Ross did not. (Thank the fashion gods!) She took the opportunity to serve up some major fashion goals for this unusual awards season, which is exactly what we need for 2020. What exactly did Ross wear? We've got the inside scoop on her revealing and wow-worthy Emmys red carpet look below.
Tracee Ellis Ross was among the best dressed at the 2020 Emmys
Tracee Ellis Ross showed up to the 2020 Emmys ready to make a fashion statement. The Black-ish actress donned an alluring Alexandre Vauthier couture gown that not only featured a sexy, deep-V neckline (hello, J. Lo vibes!), but it also included a rather high-front slit complete with tiered-ruffles and a unique, metallic golden shine.
It was definitely a head-turning dress for a crowd-less, virtual event, but it's giving fans (and media) something to talk about. Ross shared on Instagram her full 2020 Emmy look, complete with her own red carpet for a final touch. Fans' comments on Instagram ranged from fire emojis to plenty of hearts. Check out the stunning ensemble below:
Along with her red carpet gown, she also wore a matching gold face mask to keep up with COVID-19 protocols, flashy Jimmy Choo heels, and a vintage Tiffany & Co. necklace. Ross' look is definitely award-worthy, so even though she didn't take home the Emmy for Best Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, we can count on her to be in the running for best dressed.
