Rumors are swirling that Halsey and Cara Delevingne are dating, evolving a love triangle into something more like a love square. Halsey previously dated rapper G-Eazy on and off for a little over a year before ending things in 2018. After their split, the singer confirmed to Glamour that her hit "Without Me" is about their relationship. G-Eazy went on to date model and actress Ashley Benson, who was featured on "Creep," his cover of the Radiohead classic. Benson dated model Cara Delevingne – who revealed in June 2020 that identifies as pansexual — for two years, but the couple broke up in April 2020. Yeah, it's a bit complicated. 

Halsey was reportedly dating Evan Peters in early 2020, and caught the internet's attention for threatening to remove a disrespectful fan from a pre-Super Bowl concert who kept yelling G-Eazy's name at her from the pit. The singer (real name Ashley Frangipane) has seemingly moved on from both Peters and G-Eazy. In September 2020, reports surfaced that Halsey was hooking up with Delevingne in secret just months after their exes began dating. It seems that the new romance is at least in part due to the coronavirus pandemic.

A source close to Cara Delevingne told The Sun in early September 2020 that the model and Halsey have "been having a laugh together." The insider described the relationship as "very casual and just a bit of fun," adding that the two are not exclusive at the moment. "Neither of them are particularly keen to be tied down and they're fine about seeing other people." And while the relationship may have been a secret as far as the media is concerned, the fling is reportedly "not a big deal for either of them." The source revealed: "Cara has kissed [Halsey] in front of friends and stuff."

The genesis of the relationship is apparently linked to the coronavirus pandemic. With lockdowns and travel bans extending into fall 2020, musicians and actors who typically live a jet-setting lifestyle are staying local. "They're usually so busy and flying around the world," the model's unnamed revealed, "but as they've been stuck in LA in recent months, it's given them a chance to see each other." 

As for the potential awkwardness between the new couple and their exes, G-Eazy and Ashley Benson, there are allegedly "no hard feelings." The source told The Sun: "It's actually just funny to them that their exes are together now." It seems sometimes the most complicated of situations have the most casual of endings.
