Melissa George Hospitalized After Domestic Violence Incident
Grey's Anatomy alum Melissa George was hospitalized on Sept. 7, 2016 after she was allegedly assaulted by her partner, Jean-David Blanc, the French website Paris Match reported.
George, 40, was reportedly hospitalized at Cochin Hospital in Paris for more than 24 hours after calling police from her home to report the incident. She allegedly suffered injuries ranging from a swollen face, to nausea, dizziness, and bodily pain. Further details were not released.
According to Paris Match, Blanc—who founded the popular French movie website AlloCiné—has remained silent. George did not return a request for comment by People magazine, which also reported on the alleged assault.
George, who received a Golden Globe nomination for her performance on the HBO therapy drama In Treatment , recently appeared on the CBS legal drama The Good Wife as well as the short-lived NBC drama The Slap. According to The Wrap, she met Blanc at an after-party for the BAFTAs in 2011. They have two children together: sons Räphael, 2, and Solal, 10 months.
George was previously married to Claudio Dabed, a Chilean furniture designer. They divorced in 2011.
