Everything We Know About Becca Kufrin And Garrett Yrigoyen's Breakup
Former Bachelorette star Becca Kufrin and fiancé Garrett Yrigoyen have broken up after two years of dating, according to E! News. The couple — who met and fell in love on Season 14 of the hit ABC dating show — have "pressed pause on their relationship" after realizing that they're not "compatible anymore."
Apparently, the two have been struggling ever since Garrett shared a pro-police Instagram post amid the Black Lives Matter protests in June 2020. An insider told the outlet: "Becca is still very upset with Garrett's comments and the controversy surrounding it," adding, "Their lifestyles don't mesh anymore."
Since then, the Bachelor Nation alums have reportedly been "living separately" with Garrett "taking time for himself" after realizing he "wants different things." The insider added: "They are trying to keep it low-key because they are still working things out, but the relationship is definitely done."

The couple's opposing political views may have led to the split
Fans first started wondering if Becca Kufrin and Garrett Yrigoyen had called it quits after The Bachelorette star admitted she was no longer sure what the future held for their relationship following his controversial pro-police comments amid the Black Lives Matter movement. In June 2020, Garrett shared his thoughts on the nationwide protests and the police with an Instagram post in support of "the Thin Blue Line."
Becca addressed the backlash and her stance on the matter during the a June 2020 episode of her Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, which she co-hosts alongside fellow Bachelorette alum Rachel Lindsay. "Garrett is my fiancé and I love him and to his core, I believe that he is a good person," she explained at the time. "What he posted ... I don't align with and I don't agree with."
On a different episode of the podcast, Becca further opened up about her Garrett's opposing views, adding, "For those who are curious about my relationship with Garrett at this point, all I can say right now is I don't know." She continued: "I can't give anything more than that. It's something that we are trying to work through and discuss and do work on at home at this time and that's where the work will remain and that's really the best I can give you at this point."
Months later, Garrett deleted some memories of Becca from his Instagram account...
Garrett deleted Becca's highlight reel from his Instagram
Following weeks of speculation, Bachelor Nation couple Becca Kufrin and Garrett Yrigoyen further fueled breakup rumors in early August 2020 after Garrett Yrigoyen removed his memories of Becca Kufrin from Instagram. Eagle-eyed fans noticed that the reality star deleted his "Becca Spills" highlight reel, which featured clips of his fiancée, according to Us Weekly.
As of this writing, he has not deleted photos of them from his actual page, but hasn't shared a pic with Becca since the anniversary of their engagement on May 11, 2020. As for Becca, she still has her "G Cam" and "Quarantine" highlight displayed on her Instagram account (both feature videos of Garrett), but, as of this writing, her last picture with him was on May 27, 2020.
Rumors have swirled that the couple might have been waiting for the two-year anniversary of Becca's Bachelorette finale — which just so happens to be on Aug. 6, 2020 — to announce their breakup since contestants are allowed to keep the Neil Lane diamond engagement ring after they hit the two year mark, according to Insider. It's unclear if that was their plan, but Becca seemingly broke her silence on the split rumors in E! News' Instagram comments. "Lol interesting 'source.' I mean if nothing else, the least you could do is spell the names correctly and consistency in your article," she wrote.
Becca's response comes after rumors that she might have shown up at the Season 16 Bachelorette filming location amid the show's major shake-up.
Is Becca already back on the set of 'The Bachelorette'?
In early August 2020, reports surfaced that Clare Crawley was no longer the Season 16 Bachelorette, with outlets reporting that Tayshia Adams (from Colton Underwood's season of The Bachelor) would be taking her place.
However, things got even more interesting after fans started speculating that Becca was at the La Quinta Resort and Club in California — the filming location of the show's sixteenth season – amid her rumored split from fiancé Garrett Yrigoyen. According to Bachelor Nation fan page BachDetective, based on photo's posted by the former Bachelorette, signs point toward Becca being at the resort. Among the hints are a blue door and a green bracelet.
So what's going on? According to E! News, Becca and Hannah Ann Sluss (Peter Weber's ex-fiancée) are on set to "lend support." Meanwhile, Bachelor spoiler extraordinaire Reality Steve thinks the two could be on location to give the men some advice following Clare's alleged abrupt exit. "Thinking out loud: We know Becca and Hannah Ann are at filming. Those two have something in common: they were initially chosen, then not. What if their presence is nothing more than them talking to the guys still there about being 'second choice?'" he tweeted on Aug. 5, 2020.
It seems very unlikely that Becca would be there for any other reason. Besides, if her and Garrett's relationship really is over, we doubt she's ready to hand out roses again so soon after her breakup.
