Who Is The Pioneer Woman's Daughter, Alex Marie Drummond?
Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond may be known for her country-style cooking and affinity for entertaining guests, but she's also a mom to four kids — two sons and two daughters. Her daughters, Alex and Paige, are the oldest, followed by sons, Bryce and Todd. Ree's oldest daughter, Alex Marie Drummond, got engaged to her boyfriend, Mauricio Scott, in summer 2020, and the proud mom announced the big news on her website on Aug. 3. Because we're so excited about Alex's happy news, we thought we'd get to know her a little better.
Years ago, when Ree started filming her Pioneer Woman show, Alex, along with her siblings, were mainstays on set — which was actually just their house. According to Ree's blog, her daughter Alex loves food just as much as her mom and even posed with a bag of chips and queso in her senior photos. That's some real love there!
After leaving the ranch in Oklahoma, Alex went to school at Texas A&M, where she was a Tri Delta and earned an Aggie ring for honors. She graduated in spring 2019. She then moved to Dallas, where she currently lives and works. Texas A&M gave her more than just her degree, though — it's also where she met her now-fiancé Mauricio! Alex and Mauricio had a cute, surprise engagement party
Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond shared her daughter Alex Marie's proposal story on her website, along with some gorgeous photos. Alex — who's the spitting image of her mom — and her fiancé, Mauricio Scott, met their freshman year at Texas A&M. Back in 2018, Alex shared a collection of photos on Instagram, captioned, "s/o to freshman yr. ranch for introducing me to this dude. who woulda thought."
The two dated throughout school — sharing sweet moments of their relationship and travels on social media — and Mauricio popped the question with both families on hand to celebrate. Alex's sister, Paige, helped plan the whole thing, and they celebrated with a small party afterward, People reported.
Now the question remains if Ree will continue to refer to Mauricio as Alex's "friend" or if he's earned the fiancé title. Ree feels like some words are overused and avoids them — words like boyfriend, for instance. She wrote on Instagram in 2018, "I can't say the word 'boyfriend' as it relates to my girls. It just won't come out of my mouth. It isn't so much that I'm in denial or afraid to face the fact that my girls are growing up—it's more of an Elaine Benes thing. Did you see the episode of Seinfeld when the girl at the party kept mentioning her 'fiancé' constantly? ... That's how I feel about the word 'boyfriend.'"
No matter what Ree calls Maurico, he sure seems to make her daughter Alex really happy.
