The Real Reason Too Hot To Handle's Francesca Farago And Harry Jowsey Split
Fans immediately fell in love with Francesca Farago and Harry Jowsey when they met on Netflix's reality series Too Hot to Handle. The show, which premiered in April 2020, involved a handful of sexy, single men and women meeting in Mexico, where they tried to find a connection with one another. But there was one caveat: if you started dating someone, you could not get physical with them during your time in paradise. If any couple broke the rules, the $100,000 prize would be reduced.
While there weren't too many successful love stories to come out of the show, Francesca and Harry seemed to defy the odds by staying together once the camera stopped rolling. Harry even flew to Canada to meet Francesca's family after the show, and a few weeks later, she visited Harry's family and friends in Australia, per In Touch. Despite splitting for eight months post-show, per Us Weekly, the two later reconciled.
Francesca was planning on moving closer to Harry following the coronavirus pandemic, and they made it clear they were in it for the long haul. "... [O]nce this quarantine is over, we are going to move in together and it's going to be amazing and magical. We are going to get married and have kids!" she told Entertainment Tonight in April 2020.
On June 16, 2020, Francesca revealed that she is no longer dating Harry via YouTube. So, how did the former flames go from hot and heavy to splitsville? We've got answers.
Harry Jowsey and Francesca Farago couldn't make long distance work
On June 16, 2020, Francesca Farago announced she split from her Too Hot to Handle co-star, Harry Jowsey. So, what went wrong? Francesca shared that being in different countries played a part in their split since, as of this writing, she lives in Vancouver, Canada, while Harry resides in Los Angeles, Calif. "He decided to break up with me because he couldn't do long distance anymore," Francesca said in a YouTube video. "I obviously was heartbroken. I did everything I could."
The model explained that she went to L.A. to try to "work it out" with Harry, but "it didn't happen." At first, Francesca thought their split was temporary, and she refrained from making a public announcement. "I was like, 'Okay, like, if this is what you want, let's announce to everyone.' He said that he didn't want to do that yet because there was rumors and accusations being brought up from people and stuff like that, so he didn't want to validate those things by releasing that we were going to take a break," she continued.
"In my head, I didn't want to tell anyone. I didn't even want to tell my friends because I genuinely thought that we were just going through a rocky period, and that we were going to figure it out," she said.
Francesca thought she and Harry "were going to end up together" and "get married," but, unfortunately, that seems to be off the table now.
Francesca Farago says she couldn't 'fake a relationship'
Francesca Farago and Harry Jowsey's relationship seemed like it was picture-perfect, but in reality, it was quite the opposite. "There was a lot of things that have been happening that have proven to me that the way I was thinking is not the way he was thinking and that we just have had different mindsets towards this whole situation," Francesca said in her YouTube video. "Couples fight and you go through arguments, and we would argue every now and then, but it was never, for me, relationship-ending. And I think for him, small, little things just ended up turning into relationship-ending arguments."
Francesca continued to explain that there were "a lot of things" she couldn't put up with anymore. "I cannot fake a relationship," she added. "I cannot pretend that everything is going to be okay. She went on to say, "I can only tolerate so much, and I need to move on."
At the end of the day, Francesca insisted she would have "stuck by" Harry "no matter what" and "would have never given up" on their relationship. "But it wasn't reciprocated, and he is moving on, and I need to do the same," she said.
Harry added via YouTube that "sometimes you don't see eye to eye on things," and shared that they would have the "best highs," but "when things were bad, they were really bad." When Harry and Francesca fought, he said it was "the worst and most depressed times in [his] entire life."
Did Harry Jowsey cheat on Francesca Farago?
Throughout Francesca Farago's YouTube video, where she spoke about her split from Harry Jowsey, she seemingly hinted that the Australia native might not have been faithful during their time together. "There has been things that have been done that have made me realize that that is not the relationship that I deserve to be in," she said. "There is obviously two sides to every story, and I am not perfect, either. The love I had for him was very, very, very, very real, and I know you guys could see that."
"I don't want to sit here and bash anyone or make anyone feel bad," she admitted. "I have given it so many chances, and I have forgiven so much. And I have stood by the relationship because I loved him, and I can only put myself through so much, so I need to move on."
For his part, Harry took to YouTube to explain his side of the story. "I have never lied to her about anything," he said. "I have always had my location shared with hers, so she can see where I am at all times. If there was any doubts about anything, she could literally check my location and call me. We would FaceTime two to three times a day — literally all the time. So there is nothing in that aspect whatsoever."
We wish Francesca and Harry nothing but the best moving forward.
