The Truth About Stassi Schroeder's Pregnancy
Stassi Schroeder is having a tumultuous 2020, no doubt. Professionally, she's been fired from Vanderpump Rules, dropped from her influencer contracts, and dumped by podcast platforms for reportedly calling the police on a black cast mate. It's going to take a whole lot of good faith and positive actions from the Bravo star to come back professionally from such a heinous act. Personally, Schroeder has had a rough go at it, too, mostly because she's had to postpone her Italian destination wedding to fiancé Beau Clark, which is not the end of the world, but a definite hassle, per Bravo, especially without any jobs to pay for it now. However, there has been some good news for the star — Stassi Schroeder is pregnant with Beau's baby, and she's due in January 2021.
This would normally be really exciting news for Bravo devotees, but it's hard to root for Schroeder these days. Even so, picturing Stassi as a mother (or even getting through the coronavirus pandemic without a glass of wine) is arguably entertaining. Here's what we know so far about Schroeder's baby news.
Stassi Schroeder and Beau Clark are ready for a kid
Stassi Schroeder's new representative and crisis manager, Steve Honig, confirmed the pregnancy rumors in a statement to media outlets. He said, "Stassi and Beau will be welcoming their first child the first week in January and are grateful and eager to begin the next chapter of their lives as parents."
But what about all that alcohol the expectant parents were consuming in quarantine? Don't worry about that. A source told Page Six there is nothing to fear. "As soon as Stassi found out she was pregnant she immediately made several changes to her diet, one of which was only having non-alcoholic drinks." Whew — because she was definitely consuming what she so eloquently referred to as a "crapload" of booze.
In fact, Schroeder told Us Weekly that she and Clark had their biggest blowout as a couple under the influence of strawberry margaritas. She told the world they drank "all day and night," leading to her "dark passenger" returning and yelling at her fiancé after he cleaned up their dog's pee from the carpet in a way she didn't like. Ah, that's the Stassi fans all used to know and love. She added, "I woke up the next morning and I'm like, 'I don't remember anything I said, but I remember something happened [so], I'm really sorry.'"
Sounds about right.
Stassi Schroeder and Beau Clark were being 'reckless'
Stassi Schroeder's pregnancy shouldn't come as too much of a surprise. She told Us Weekly that she "wouldn't be mad" if she got pregnant and added that they've been "reckless" when it comes to preventing a pregnancy.
Stassi even told Us Weekly that she was trying to conceive in 2019. "I was like, 'Listen, if he's not going to propose, I'm going to take matters into my own hands,'" she said. "I was seriously hoping to be pregnant because that is so much more important to me than even getting married. I just cannot wait to be a mom. And then once I actually did become engaged, I'm like, 'Well, I can't be pregnant at my wedding.' Like, I have to be able to get s**t-faced."
Beau Clark has said that the thought of kids "kind of scares" him, especially since everything is more difficult in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic and social distancing protocols. "I wouldn't even be able to go to the hospital if this is still going on by the time [the baby arrives]. It's something to think about," he said.
Now that the baby is on the way, they'll both just have to hope for the best.
Stassi will be the first Vanderpump star to become a mom
Stassi Schroeder told Us Weekly in February 2020 that if she wasn't going to be the first Vanderpump Rules star to have a baby, she wanted someone in her crew to have one — and fast. "I am so ready for one of my friends to have a damn baby. Katie [Maloney is] too scared to be the first. Brittany wants to, so I'm like, 'Well, keep at it,'" Schroeder said at the time. Now at least Stassi and fiancé Beau Clark will pave the way for the whole Vanderpump Rules crew.
For fans that are sticking by Schroeder's side since she was fired from the Bravo series, this pregnancy news may feel bittersweet, if only because it means that her pregnancy won't be documented on the show. Whether you love her or loathe her, Stassi always makes for good TV, and watching Beau Clark try to manage her hormones would admittedly be amusing.
While the couple is going through a lot these days, they'll at least be able to start their family and perhaps evolve from the reality TV lifestyle and Schroeder's past racist actions.
