The Real Reason 90 Day Fiance's Ash Naeck And Avery Warner Split Up
Before the 90 Days Season 4 couple, Avery Warner and Ash Naeck, started with high hopes for their union. Relationship coach Ash planned to move from his home in Australia to be with Avery, a single mom and cannabis chef. Eager for this goal to become a reality, Avery traveled to Melbourne so she could meet Ash's son, ex-wife, and his brother, hoping to solidify the relationship before taking the next step.
Unfortunately for the pair, things in Australia didn't go as planned. Not only did they have an explosive fight over Avery's concerns about a relationship seminar Ash had conducted, but the mom was also concerned about his honesty. "There's a difference between creating negativity and being real with reality," Avery complained to Ash about his habit of glossing over hard truths to avoid potential conflict, per ET Online. "Really let me understand what the situation is."
Avery left Australia still being in a relationship with Ash, but the two broke up before the reunion aired in June 2020. As for why the couple parted ways? Let's just say it's quite complicated.
The odds were stacked against Ash Naeck and Avery Warner
Family is important to both Ash Naeck and Avery Warner, which is why Avery wanted to chat with the mother of Ash's son before progressing the relationship further. Avery had concerns that Ash's ex-wife, Sian, wasn't as thrilled about his move and potentially bringing their child, Taj, along for the journey. It proved to be the case, and Sian requested Ash wait until Taj is older before relocating across the world. Although Avery completely understood Sian's position, it didn't mean it was easy for her to accept. "I have so much love for him, but he has his son here, and it does kind of worry me in the back of my head that he doesn't even realize how hard it's going to be moving forward for us," Avery said about their plans to apply for the K-1 visa, per E! News.
The potential of years apart was too much for the relationship, as Ash touched on in a June 2020 appearance on the Domenick Nati Show. "The reality is that I still love the girl," he explained. "I still love her. So that's not going to change so soon. We have departed but we have departed because of circumstances." He added, "And the reason of the departure is because, yeah, circumstances. Long-distance, the pressure of the show... I still love her."
All in all, it sounds like the timing wasn't right for Ash and Avery.
Wait, what did Ash Naeck supposedly lie about?
Avery Warner didn't hold back at the Before the 90 Days Tell-All show, claiming the reason why she broke up with Ash Naecko over a diet they had been trying together. Avery accused Ash of "lying to [her] face" about sticking to the regimen, which is an arguably curious reason to end a romance, per ET Online. But as Avery explained, it was one of many alleged instances of Ash's dishonesty. "Trust is key, and openness and honesty is a must. Actions speak louder than words, so if the words are not aligning with actions then I would be concerned," she hinted to The Knockturnal in April 2020.
When Avery suggested they take a break to deal with diet-gate, Ash decided to end things for good. "If that person is really committed, we will work things out without taking a break," Ash said of his reasoning, according to Showbiz Cheat Sheet. "How many breaks do you need to take to decide what you want to do?"
Maybe Ash and Avery will reunite one day, although we don't see that happening anytime soon.
