The Truth About 90 Day Fiance's Loren And Alexei Brovarnik's Relationship
90 Day Fiance stars Alexei and Loren Brovarnik's love story was first introduced in Season 3 of the hit show. Florida resident Loren met Israel-born Alexei during her Birthright trip to the country, where her future husband was working as a medic at the time. Although the two had an instant connection, their journey to lasting love wasn't without a few bumps. "The two have never spent more than 15 days together at a time, much less lived together, yet they are about to move in with Loren's parents' three-bedroom condo, in order to save money," a TLC press release noted. "Loren fears that Alexei will get homesick and will want to return to Israel."
Spoiler alert: Alexei and Loren did make it to the altar in 2015, and they welcomed their first son, Shai, in April 2020. The icing on the cake? Alexei received his U.S. citizenship in January 2020, after years of hard work. Talk about a life-changing accomplishment!
Although Alexei and Loren are in an incredibly great place as of this writing, their relationship hasn't been perfect. Just one example? Alexei revealed a sensitive secret to his mom about Loren without her permission. Oops.
Loren felt so betrayed by Alexei
After TLC introduced viewers to Loren Brovarnik, some people began spreading mean comments about her "sniffles" and "twitching." Although Loren admitted to the network that she initially tried to "hide" the situation from cameras, she realized she needed to speak out about her condition to spread awareness and help others going through it. As for her diagnosis? Loren has Tourette Syndrome, causing ticks which are "repetitive, involuntary movements and sounds," per People.
Loren has since become confident in her own skin, but there was a time when she felt uncomfortable about sharing her diagnosis with Alexei Brovarnik and his family. So when Alexei told his mom about Loren's condition without consulting her first, she was understandably angry. "You told your mom my biggest secret that is hard for me to accept," she told her husband during an episode of 90 Day Fiance. She added, "Very, very few of my friends know. I don't think even a lot of my family members know."
The good news is the pair was able to overcome the rough spot, and Loren is in a great place. "I've helped a lot of people, which is crazy because I'm a nobody," she told People. "And the fact that people have told me, thank you... If I can help one person, I've done the right thing."
