The Truth About Harry And Meghan's Circle Of Friends In LA
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry — aka the Duke and Duchess of Sussex — moved from their temporary home in Vancouver Island, Canada, to Los Angeles in March 2020. The major change came just a few months after the couple, who wed in May 2018, announced their decision to step away as senior members of the royal family.
Although there have been rumblings that Prince Harry is struggling to adjust to life in Tinseltown, other reports suggest he is enjoying the different scenery, especially thanks to a few famous friends. Not only has producer Tyler Perry reportedly lent his ritzy pad in Beverly Hills to the royals, but there are also rumors about new friendships with high-profile celebs, whose identities we'll reveal after the jump.
A source told Oprah Magazine about the couple's network in LA, "There are a lot of people out there who genuinely want them to succeed and want to help them. At the moment, they're getting a lot of great support from friends they've made over the years that are proving to be very very generous with their time and advice."
With this sentiment in mind, let's take a look into the truth about Harry and Meghan's circle of friends in LA.
Adele reportedly gives Meghan Markle and Prince Harry advice
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle arguably set up shop in an ideal neighborhood, as Adele lives incredibly close to the couple, as the Daily Mirror reported. "Adele's just five minutes from Harry and Meghan and they've swapped notes on the area," a source told the outlet. "Adele loves the neighborhood. She's also recommended her four-year-old son Angelo's pre-school and discreet places to take Archie where they won't be bombarded by fans."
The insider continued, "All three of them get on so well. Meghan admires how Adele has managed to keep out of the spotlight despite being a huge star. And she is a big fan of her album 21, which she says helped her through her divorce from Trevor Engelson."
Adele hasn't addressed the supposed connection publicly, but we can see this trio getting along swimmingly, especially since she also grew up in the United Kingdom as Prince Harry did. We wouldn't be surprised if the singer can relate to the Duke of Sussex about feeling homesick.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have a long list of fancy pals
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have laid low for the most part since they've had landed in Los Angeles, as they're seemingly busy adjusting to their new home with baby Archie, who celebrated his first birthday in May 2020. However, this doesn't mean the two haven't been networking — as Oprah Magazine reported, the royals are pals with "James Corden and his wife Julia Carey, Idris Elba, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi, Elton John and David Furnish, George and Amal Clooney, and music executive David Foster and his wife, Katharine McPhee, who is an old classmate of Meghan's."
Other friends include tennis legend Serena Williams, who reportedly lives nearby in another gated community, lawyer Benita Litt, and actor Abigail Spencer, per the Daily Mail.
Us Weekly also noted how Markle has been spending more time with her LA-based mom, yoga instructor Doria Ragland.
