The Truth About Megan Fox And Machine Gun Kelly's Relationship
Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green have had their ups and downs over the years — a couple engagements, a separation, a quickie marriage, and a divorce filing. And if the rumors are true, they might be in the midst of another break-up.
The Jennifer's Body actress was spotted driving with rapper Machine Gun Kelly in May 2020. Fox and Kelly were picking up food together in Calabasas, Calif., and according to TMZ, they appeared to be awfully friendly and comfortable with one another. They're starring together in the upcoming film Midnight in the Switchgrass, which could explain their rapport — or it could be something more.
The most interesting part? Green was nowhere to be seen, but he did post a cryptic message on Instagram (via Us Weekly) that could imply that he's not too happy about his wife's new buddy. "Eventually butterflies get bored sitting on a flower for too long," the Beverly Hills 90210 actor wrote. "They start feeling smothered. It's a great big world and they want to experience it."
For those that don't know, Fox has a Shakespear quote tattooed on her shoulder: "We will all laugh at the gilded butterflies." Coincidence? The backstory between these two makes that hard to believe.
Are Megan Fox & Brian Austin Green breaking up again?
Transformers actress Megan Fox and Beverly Hills 90210 star Brian Austin Green have a rocky relationship history, and if the gossip is true, it doesn't appear to be getting any better.
According to People, the couple started dating after meeting on the set of Hope and Faith in 2004, when she was 18 and he was 30. They got engaged in 2006 but called it off in 2009, only to reconcile and get engaged again a year later. Fox and Green finally tied the knot in Kona, Hawaii in 2010, in an extremely intimate wedding ceremony on a deserted beach at sunset. According to the Daily Mail, the ceremony was only attended by Fox, Green, and Green's son, Kassius (whom he had with 90210 co-star Vanessa Marcil).
In 2015, Fox filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. "Megan and Brian's split is a classic Hollywood story of two people in different stages of life and career," a source told People at the time. However, just a few months into the separation, they announced they were expecting their child together and reconciled once again.
In a September 2017 episode of the ...with Brian Austin Green podcast (via People), the actor admitted that "to be in a relationship takes work, and it's not easy."
Green has been spotted recently without his wedding ring, and if Fox's new friendship with Machine Gun Kelly is any indication, this on-again-off-again couple may have more hard work to do.
