The Untold Truth Of 90 Day Fiance's Jesse Meester
As any fan can attest, TLC's 90 Day Fiancé franchise embodies reality TV rubbernecking at its finest. In other words, the namesake show and its subsequent spinoffs — Before the 90 Days, What Now?, Happily Ever After?, etc. — can be painfully cringey to watch, yet viewers just can't look away. Week after week, they tune in for irresistible episodes filled with heartbreak, awkwardness, and scandal galore.
For those who are unfamiliar, the various series follow along as international couples meet for the first time, sometimes get engaged, and (even more rarely) tie the knot. There's a recurring cast of characters who pop up throughout multiple seasons at different stages of courtship. Everyone knows Nicole Nafziger and Azan Tefou, whose love story forever perplexes fans. Of course, can't forget Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi, who've been on the show three times — and might've secretly gotten married. Alexei and Loren Brovarnik are another fan-favorite pair and success story.
Last but not least, there's franchise four-timer Darcey Silva (who we'd call "one-of-a-kind"... if she didn't have an identical twin sister, Stacey). Darcey first appeared on the show with her then-boyfriend Jesse Meester, whose seemingly short patience and inflated ego often led to arguments. So, what's Jesse's deal nowadays? Is he single or still pining over his ex? Did he ever learn to cut steak on a bias? We may not ever know the answer to that last question (sadly), but fear not, there's plenty more tea to spill — or rather, steak to cut. Let's get to it!
Jesse from '90 Day Fiancé' apparently juggles multiple jobs
During Darcey Silva's very first Before the 90 Days season (which feels like a lifetime ago at this point), the mother-of-two gushed over her model boyfriend she met online. Since his photos appeared so professional, it seemed plausible she could've been getting catfished by this supposed chiseled, blonde hunk from Amsterdam. Turns out, Jesse Meester wasn't lying. When the pair met IRL, he matched his photos.
However, the same can't be said for their real-life relationship matching the online equivalent. Let's just say, Katy Perry's song "Hot N Cold" should've been written about these two, since their love story included very high highs and even lower lows. Although they gave things multiple shots, their tumultuous romance just never lasted.
As for his career, that appears to still be going strong at least. The military vet's Instagram is filled with modeling shots, while his bio boasts other elements of his career: "Actor • Author • Applied Psychologist • Real Estate." Per his website, he's a public speaker focused on psychology, as well as an entrepreneur.
Granted, CheatSheet reported that some fans have questioned Jesse's background, speculating he might've written his own online net worth page and exaggerated while doing so. The post in question bragged about his public-speaking skills, level of fame, and various other aspects of his personal life. Honestly, who knows what to believe — but it also wouldn't make much sense for him to lie.
Jesse became friends with Darcey's other '90 Day' ex
In news that may make 90 Day Fiancé fans question everything, Jesse Meester has apparently befriended his ex Darcey Silva's other ex: Tom Brooks. According to Us Weekly, Darcey weighed in on the bromance, saying in February 2020, "It was like a slap in the face, but that's their style and they're going to do what they want to do anyway." Calling the situation a "low blow," she added, "[Tom] knew exactly how I got treated and he thought that I was very much disrespected by Jesse and for them to kind of band up and I felt ganged up on." Major yikes!
Not too long before that, Darcey was singing Tom's praises. In an October 2019 interview with Newsweek, she actually credited Tom for helping her get over the Jesse split. She told the outlet, "He was there for me. He knew all about it. He was kinda my rock during that whole time." In that same interview, Darcey claimed Jesse had still been reaching out to reconcile things, but after realizing the relationship was "toxic," she decided to move on, explaining, "You're never going to get the closure you want in a relationship like that."
Taking that all into account, it makes sense that Darcey was more than a little upset when Jesse and Tom became buds. Then again, the actual extent of their friendship is unknown.
Darcey isn't the only one who's moved on — Jesse has, too
If you're watching the latest season of Before the 90 Days, you're probably well aware that Darcey Silva is back and trying to rekindle things with Tom Brooks, which doesn't seem too promising. And she's not the only one who's moved on (or at least attempted to).
According to In Touch Weekly, Jesse Meester is dating someone new. On TLC's 90 Day Fiancé: What Now?, he was set up by friends, revealing, "I am now back in New York City. I'm here for meetings, [to] see my friends and tonight I have a blind date, which I'm really looking forward to... I've never done it before. In that regard, I'm a virgin."
As reported by Daily Soap Dish in early May 2020, Jesse's date describes herself to the cameras as such: "I'm Bianca Rose. I'm 33. I've been living in New York now for 11 years. I'm a teacher and I'm looking for love." In his own on-screen commentary, Jesse seemed pretty smitten, sharing, "The first impression? Bianca is gorgeous. And the way she like, you know, presents herself with confidence, with grace... I want to get to know her and see where this will take us."
Has Jesse finally met his post-Darcey match? Well, as per usual, 90 Day fans will just have to stay tuned. There's no way it won't all play out on-screen — whether via his Instagram page or on the TLC series.
