Who doesn't love a thirst trap? Rapper Chanel West Coast treated fans to some steamy poolside pics on Instagram, where she showed off her amazing bod, as well as some under-boob while wearing a cute, pink bikini.
The rapper and MTV host of Ridiculousness recently treated In Touch to a house tour, where she showed off her glam life, including black paper towels in her kitchen and special crystals she keeps in her dining room for positive energy. Thanks to the house tour, fans are well acquainted with Chanel's Los Angeles digs and she totally has a gorgeous home and outdoor space. No wonder she's spending so much time by the pool!
So as Chanel documents these fun moments around her house, fans are having an unexpected response to her sexy poolside pics. Some are even worried about the rapper. So what's going on to spark this kind of reaction to a harmless thirst trap? Keep reading to check out some of these savage comments.
What happened to Chanel West Coast?
Chanel West Coast treated fans to some poolside pics where the rapper showed off her bodacious bod and her makeup-free look. It all sounds like normal behavior for social media, but many fans are having negative reactions to Chanel's photos.
One fan posed the question: "What did you do to your pretty face?" This comment garnered over 300 likes and generated many comments. Someone replied: "My [money] says botox." Another person wrote: "She used to be so much more beautiful before the [botox] or surgery or whatever. Totally didn't need to do anything."
Another individual commented that Chanel's face looked "swollen" while someone else said that Chanel's face looked "all puffy and augmented." Another person responded to these comments by saying: "Injections galore." Check out the photos and see for yourself.
According to The Blast, Chanel commented to these questions from fans asking what she did to herself by saying, "Nothing lmao."
Other fans pointed out that makeup, especially contouring can create a very different look. So if Chanel is opting for a makeup-free day, her face is probably going to look pretty different. Sheesh! Let her live.
But Chanel is no stranger to online negativity. In fact, the MTV host even made a Snapchat video complaining that she doesn't get enough "likes" online.
Chanel West Coast complains that she doesn't get enough love on Instagram
Chanel West Coast recently surprised fans by sharing a Snapchat rant where she complained that not enough people "liked" her material on Instagram. In February 2020, Chanel said: "So, something I've realized is that being a friendly person makes less people f**k with you."
Chanel added: "Especially being in this industry... I am the most friendly motherfu**er ever, I just like people I like everybody. Unless you give me a reason to not like you, I f**king like you. And if I follow you, I'ma like your pictures, unless it's like a really ugly bad picture maybe I won't like it," (via Complex.)
While Chanel didn't get specific, she started calling out her social media peers, complaining that they weren't reciprocating her love. She said: "For the most part I f***ing like everybody's s**t, and nobody likes my s**t."
Chanel added: "And I'm just like, bitch I'm f**king famous on a million episodes of TV, and you got way less followers than me and I'm liking your s**t and you don't ever wanna like my s**t? Who the f**k do you think you are? You think I'm desperate because I'm friendly and liking your s**t? Ain't nobody f**king desperate, I'm just being nice," (via Complex.)
According to Complex, the irony was not lost on fans that Chanel said she wasn't "desperate" all the while asking for more likes on social media.
Chanel West Coast defends her laugh
While it's clear Chanel West Coast isn't a little bit shy to defend herself against haters, the MTV host does deal with a lot of negativity! While she is mostly known for her contagious laugh on MTV's Ridiculousness, Chanel really has her heart set on making music and that has been a domain where she struggles to be taken seriously.
According to TooFab, Chanel said her time on TV might have been detrimental to her career and she's worried that fans know her for her laugh and don't take her seriously as an artist. She explained: "People for some reason can't put two personalities together."
Chanel went on: "If you actually go Google... Adele has the goofiest laugh ever. Wiz Khalifa has the goofiest laugh ever, but you know them for being artists. Nobody's gonna care that they got a goofy laugh. Me, on the other hand, you know me for my goofy laugh first, so then going and hearing my music as art... I just think a lot of people like to hate on me."
Poor Chanel! She can't catch a break with all the haters coming after her. That being said, she does seem remarkably resilient, so we hope she won't let it get her down.
