Little Women: Atlanta star Ashley "Minnie" Ross, 34, died following a hit-and-run on April 26, 2020. Her management team confirmed the sad news on the reality star's Instagram account. According to her publicist (via People), Ross was "was gravely injured when the car she was in collided with another vehicle near Old National Hwy in Atlanta around 11 p.m." Ross was rushed to a hospital, where she died the next day from her injuries. According to Newsweek, the driver of the vehicle that hit Ross' car fled the scene.

Prior to diving into the reality TV industry, Ross was a hairstylist. In a 2014 interview with MadameNoire, she admitted that she agreed to do the Lifetime show because she hoped to show people "the everyday struggle that little people go through in life." She added: "When people say the struggle is real? It's real. We go through hell and back."

Ashley "Minnie" Ross was a Tennessee native who rose to fame in 2016, when she joined the Little Women franchise. It didn't take long for fans to fall in love with her charming and positive personality. 

Though Ross never got married or had kids, she revealed in 2019, that she was dating Atlanta-based music producer Slickbeatz, according to People. "I'm crushing on this guy every day," she shared on Instagram. "...loving me some him."

Her romance with Slickbeatz was a sunny shift from the relationship drama that previously played out on the show. According to MadameNoire, Ross promoted a "fake relationship and not one but two fake pregnancies with rapper Pastor Troy" on the show. She eventually told the truth and apologized on the show. "It feels like a weight has been lifted off of me," she said after her confession. "This is the first step toward building a new Minnie."

The tragic death of Ashley "Minnie" Ross has reverberated among her friends, family, and Little Women: Atlanta co-stars. Castmember Andrea Salinas shared an emotional tribute to her friend on Instagram: "As I'm writing this I'm in tears I can't believe it my Minnie !!!! Why did they take you away from us !!!! WHY!!!!! It always seems like we have all the time in the world, only to realize how fleeting it really is," she captioned several photos with Ross. "I wish we had more time to do and say the things we saved for later which along with you is gone forever..." she added. "I promise to keep you alive in my memories and be there for your mama and aunt. You were more than our best friend you were our big sister..."

A rep for the reality show issued a statement about the impact Ross made on those who knew her (via People): "She was the most beautiful, kind, giving, generous human ever. She was adored by cast and crew because she always wore her heart on her sleeve. There's nothing she wouldn't do for those she loved."
