What You Didn't Know About The Bachelor's Madison Prewett
Is anyone else missing the drama of Peter Weber's season on The Bachelor? It's tough to find another TV show that stacks up to the drama, with the exception of Netflix's Tiger King, of course. And although the season ended in March 2020, the drama hasn't ended. Case in point: It was revealed in April 2020 that Peter reunited in Chicago with contestant Kelly Flanagan, who left the show in fifth place. Then there were rumors from Stephen "Reality Steve" Carbone that Victoria Fuller, Peter's third choice, is quarantining with former bachelor Chris Soules in Iowa. Yup. Take a minute for all of that to sink in.
Meanwhile, it would appear that Hannah Ann Sluss, who was engaged to Peter for a hot minute and then got dumped on-air, is dating someone new. During an April 2020 appearance on podcast Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe, Sluss said she has a new "mystery man" who has nothing to do with Bachelor Nation. She called it a "nice little quarantine fling."
But throughout Peter's season, there was one woman who seemed to transcend the petty drama: Madison Prewett. We don't know about you, but we legit thought that Madison and Peter would ride off into the sunset and live happily ever after. But that wasn't the case, thanks, in part, to some major drama between Madison and Peter's mom, Barbara Weber.
Now that some of the drama has subsided, let's take a minute to look at everything we know about Madison Prewett.
Madison Prewett had been on TV before 'The Bachelor'
So here's the backstory: Peter Weber appeared on Hannah Brown's season of The Bachelorette, where he made it far enough to have sex with her in a windmill (four times!) but not enough to earn her heart, per The Hollywood Reporter. Then bam! Peter became the next bachelor and the world got to meet Madison Prewett, a college basketball star.
According to her ABC bio, Madison, who was 23 when Peter's season began filming in 2019, is from Auburn, Ala. and works as a foster parent recruiter. From the get-go, Madison was clear that faith was a huge part of her life. In her bio, she expressed wanting a "man who will prioritize faith and family before everything else." What's more? Madison's future spouse "MUST want children and know how to have fun."
Although Madison has small-town roots, she's no stranger to Hollywood. That's because, in April 2019, she appeared on an episode of The Price is Right and won $8,000. So our girl is not camera-shy.
Is Madison Prewett really as nice as she seems on TV?
In the aftermath of such an intense season of The Bachelor, the drama still continued. Madison Prewett seemed like such a sympathetic, likable person. However, in a shocking turn of events, Peter Weber's younger brother, Jack Weber, hopped on social media and threw some serious shade at Madi. No doubt Jack was also trying to defend his mom, Barbara Weber, after her controversial comments on The Bachelor finale, which made fans angry with her.
Jack seemingly agreed with fans who suggested reality TV producers manipulate storylines, replying, per People, "Dude facts." He added, "Half these people don't even have the slightest clue as to how far Madi is from what the TV shows." Yikes.
Despite Jack's shade, Madi seems to be thriving now. She has 1.9 million followers on Instagram, as of this writing, and she hung out with Selena Gomez on March 12, 2020, per Glamour.
Speaking of living her best life, Madi is at a point where she's not afraid to share her true feelings about Pete's actions post-Bachelor. On April 21, 2020, for instance, Madi spoke to Kaitlyn Bristowe on her podcast, Off the Vine, revealing she was confused to see Peter in Chicago with Kelley Flanagan since Peter supposedly texted Madi two days saying he missed her. But Madi has since let it go, reasoning, "He's not the one for me, so I wish him all the best."
