Rhea Durham: The Truth About Mark Wahlberg's Wife
Former model and designer Rhea Durham has been married to actor Mark Wahlberg since 2009. The couple has four kids together: Ella Rae, Michael, Brendan, and Grace, and they often post pictures of their sweet family to social media.
Although Wahlberg leads a very public life, Durham seemingly prefers a more private existence at home with her children. It's interesting because before tying the knot with the Daddy's Home star, the Florida native was traveling the world as a model and posing for prestigious outlets like Elle, Vogue, and Marie Claire. Durham even walked the runway in the 2001 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, rocking red lingerie for all to see.
Of course, things change, and it sounds like life on the road got tough for Durham. "I get really lonely," she said in a 1997 interview. "Hotels all the time ... I have a huge phone bill."
So how does Durham like the transition from international model to life with Wahlberg? We reveal the answer below.
Rhea Durham has found her true calling
Rhea Durham enjoyed modeling as a young adult, revealing in a 1997 interview that she liked "getting to travel around," which she did for a while after being discovered at a mall when she was 14. But despite living a dream come true for many, she's completely content with her role today — mom. "I know people might read this and think, 'Ugh,' but I love my life," she told the now-defunct Cookie magazine in 2007 (via People). "It's hectic and stressful at times. But I'm really happy. I love the traditions of family and home. Babies, kids, holidays — that's what I'm good at."
The mom, who launched a handbag line called Ella Grace in 2018, is a hero to husband Mark Wahlberg because of her efforts. "I owe a lot to my wife," he told The Sun in 2008. "She has helped me become the man that I am and created a beautiful life for me and our children.'"
Aww. We think it's safe to add Wahlberg's quote to the list of sweetest things celebs have said about their significant others.
