How Stassi Schroeder Really Feels About Her Prenup With Beau Clark
Vanderpump Rules stars Stassi Schroeder and Beau Clark got engaged in July 2019, with the proposal taking place in the iconic Hollywood Forever cemetery. Although this might not sound like the most ideal venue, it was the perfect spot for Schroeder, who loves all things morbid. "This literally couldn't be more romantic," the New Orleans native gushed in a video for Bravo Insider.
Another curious thing that makes Schroeder's heart flutter? Prenups. Yep, that's right. The reality star has no problem with entering a legal contract before getting married, and Clark feels the same way. In fact, Schroeder believes their shared opinion about prenups makes them a match made in heaven. "We're able to have those hard conversations," she wrote in a column for Glamour. "If I'm going to commit to someone for the rest of my life, I need to be able to talk about uncomfortable things like finances. I've found the whole experience to be romantic and sweet, in a way."
So, why did the newly engaged couple decide to sign a prenup? The answer reveals a lot about their backgrounds.
Stassi Schroeder and Beau Clark are cut from the same cloth
Despite their differences, Stassi Schroeder and Beau Clark are on the same page about prenups. This is largely due to their similar upbringings, as they both have divorced parents. "He's from a family of divorce too, so we both just knew that's what we would do," Schroeder explained in a wedding column for Glamour, noting that both of her parents have been divorced three times. "And the more Beau and I talk about it, the more I realize we're so in sync." She continued, "We're able to have those hard conversations. If I'm going to commit to someone for the rest of my life, I need to be able to talk about uncomfortable things like finances. I've found the whole experience to be romantic and sweet, in a way. We're close enough to discuss anything."
Although Schroeder and Clark have everything squared away in terms of finances, their actual wedding is still up in the air. That's because the nuptials — which are slated for October 2020 in Italy — might be called off due to the coronavirus pandemic. "We've had a lot of discussions with [each other], with our wedding planners, with family and friends," Schroeder told TV Insider. "The only thing we can do right now is take it day by day and see how things develop."
As it turns out, Stassi Schroeder isn't the only celeb who has been personally affected by the coronavirus.
