The Untold Truth Of Tiger King Star Jeff Lowe's Nanny
Netflix's Tiger King docuseries introduced so many different characters that it was hard to keep track, but there were a few who stood out — like Jeff Lowe and his wife, Lauren. Fans of Tiger King will instantly recognize Jeff and his hat/bandana combo alongside Lauren, who was beautiful with fiery, red hair. He was introduced in the docuseries as a potential investor in Joe Exotic's park, but it wasn't until Exotic transferred the park to Jeff, after severe financial struggles, that things became shady.
The Lowes also caught fans' attention with their lifestyle. They were open swingers, as the Netflix show pointed out, frequently visiting Las Vegas with tiger cubs to meet new women. Lauren was pregnant by the end of the series and Jeff mentioned a nanny for their baby, even showing a photo of her to the camera. Now that daughter Sarah is born, according to iNews, fans want to know the truth about this new nanny and what's really going on.
In a Lights Out interview with David Spade, Jeff and Lauren addressed their assessment of Tiger King and dissed Carole Baskin. (It seems no one, Exotic included, can stop talking about this woman!) Towards the end of the interview, Lauren asked if she could introduce her baby and her husband added, "The baby and the nanny." Sure enough, there was baby Sarah and the new nanny, Masha Diduk.
Is Jeff Lowe's new nanny just a publicity stunt?
Many Tiger King fans wanted to know if Jeff Lowe's new nanny, Masha Diduk, was just a stunt for the cameras, according to TMZ. However, Diduk was quite clear with the outlet that she is, in fact, a real nanny. She just works part-time.
Jeff and his wife, Lauren, hired Diduk in September 2019, but they actually met her four years ago when they were visiting Las Vegas. Diduk worked as a model in Vegas, but also has accepted work from the Lowe family on a part-time basis, mostly on weekends, because the coronavirus has put a stop to her other work, as she told TMZ.
Even after Diduk made a brief appearance on Lights Out with David Spade in late March 2020, fans speculated that Jeff paid her to be on camera, but Diduk wants to clear things up, per TMZ. As proof, she even recently posted a photo on Instagram at Joe Exotic's old zoo, the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park, featuring herself with a baby tiger and wrote, "Tiger king who?" followed by, "What an amazing group of people here, loving all their babies."
Diduk also wanted to address rumors that came up in Tiger King, painting Jeff to be an animal abuser. She told TMZ that these were totally false and that she wouldn't work for him if he was abusive to animals.
What does Lauren Lowe think of the new nanny?
Jeff and Lauren Lowe appeared on KOCO 5 News in April 2020 to discuss the impact of Tiger King and to introduce their new baby, Sarah. Lauren said, "I was wanting us to have our own little family, especially after we got married." In response to what is often called their "racy" lifestyle, Jeff said, "Our version of normal is probably more Las Vegas than it is Oklahoma and we like to go out." But Lauren added of her husband, "He's a wonderful dad, I mean, it's so cute watching him interact with her."
Inevitably, the nanny came up during the interview and Lauren said, "Me and the nanny, we all get along." Meanwhile, Jeff said, "The nanny's nothing compared to Lauren." He said of the nanny, "She's hot," pointing to Lauren he added, "but she's hotter." Lauren smiled and said, "Aw, you're so sweet!"
While it seems like paradise at home, fans online aren't exactly convinced that the unique family situation between the Lowes and their hot nanny will work out.
Fans are still skeptical about the Lowes and their nanny
Jeff and Lauren Lowe have been active on Instagram, despite heat they're facing for what happened in Tiger King. They're also open about sharing details of their personal lives, including the arrival of their new nanny, Masha Diduk. On their Oklahoma Zoo's Instagram page, they shared a picture of Diduk standing between Jeff and Lauren with the caption: "Our #hotnanny is here!!" While it seems celebratory, the comments said otherwise.
Many people were skeptical that Lauren is actually happy with the situation, as one person wrote, "That sh** is embarrassing. Your poor wife pretending to like it all." The comment garnered over 1,800 likes, so it seems to be a popular opinion. Others doubted Diduk's nannying abilities with the comment: "There's no way that she knows how to change a diaper."
To be fair, Lauren is perfectly capable of speaking up for herself, and just because Diduk is beautiful doesn't mean she can't change a diaper! It's certainly an unconventional arrangement, but if it makes them all happy, more power to them.
