Aaron Carter was so into his girlfriend, Melanie Martin, that he got her name tattooed on his face after just three months of dating. But it looks like the honeymoon phase is over for the couple — TMZ reported Carter and Martin got into an altercation less than three weeks after he displayed the new ink. Per the publication, Martin was arrested for felony domestic violence on March 29, 2020.
The two were in a verbal disagreement when things allegedly got physical. When the L.A. County Sheriff's Department arrived at Carter's residence, where the incident occurred, he reportedly showed the officers scratches on his body and she was taken into custody (via TMZ). The early 2000s singer also claimed that right before they fought, Martin told him she was pregnant. "I think she's lying," Carter said, according to Page Six, adding that his legal team would never let them get back together.
Martin was reportedly released from custody the following day on bond, which was set at $50,000. The same day, Carter declared he was single on his Instagram page. "A bachelor's life is no life for a single man. #Single," the 32-year-old posted next to a naked photo of himself in front of a mirror, per Us Weekly.

While Carter's no stranger to face tats, it's the first time he's inked a person's name front and center.
The couple had been dating for just over three months before he got the tattoo, according to Page Six. And given Martin's prime placement on Carter's face, we're guessing the couple got close pretty fast. The singer confirmed his relationship with Martin on Instagram in January, and the two regularly posted photos cuddling, kissing, and hugging on their social media.
They were obviously very serious about each other, and while fans know a lot about Carter, Martin isn't as well-known. We've learned from The Blast that she's an Instagram model with more than 168,000 followers. Martin is of Bulgarian descent and in her 30s.
