Celebrities Who Are Serial Cheaters
Some people have a hard time remaining faithful to their better half, and celebrities are no exception. Which stars have double-crossed their significant others more than once? See for yourself.
Arnold Schwarzenegger
In early 2011, Arnold Schwarzenegger was known for being the Terminator, the former Governor of California, and an all around family man devoted to wife Maria Shriver and their four beautiful kids. However, by May of that year, Schwarzenegger was known as something else entirely. The Los Angeles Times reported that he'd been in a long-term affair with his housekeeper, Mildred Baena, and fathered a love child. Baena gave birth to a son in October 1997. Shriver also gave birth in September 1997.
The maid wasn't Arnold's only transgression. He also stepped out with actress Brigitte Nielsen, his co-star in the 1985 film Red Sonja. Schwarzenegger admitted to having the "hot affair" in his memoir, Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story. The infidelity happened before Schwarzenegger wed Shriver. For what it's worth, he explained in his book that the affair with Nielsen made him realize how much he wanted to marry Shriver, according to the Associated Press.
Eddie Cibrian
Actor Eddie Cibrian did more than just cheat his then-wife, former model Brandi Glanville, with his now-wife, country singer LeAnn Rimes. Cibrian also cheated on Glanville with Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Marie Shay. Shay detailed the dirt to Us Weekly in 2013: "Seven years ago I met Eddie, and six or eight months go by and I find out that he's married and I call him out. He lied at first about it and then he admitted it. So I stopped talking to him for a long time."
Shay said Cibrian pursued her again in 2009, while he was still married but also having an affair with Rimes on the set of the Lifetime movie Northern Lights. Shortly after the Rimes affair went public, Cibrian and Glanville divorced. In April 2011, he married Rimes.
Jesse James
The best way to describe this continuously unfaithful dude is...YIKES! Motorcycle man Jesse James has cheated on a lot of his spouses, most notably Oscar-winning actress Sandra Bullock and L.A. Ink star Kat Von D.
At the 2010 Academy Awards, Bullock gushed about how thankful she was to be loved so much by her husband during her best actress acceptance speech for The Blind Side. Just a few days later, Bullock, and the rest of the world, were blindsided by reports that her beloved hubs had multiple affairs while she was away filming the movie.
After Bullock, James had an on-again-off-again relationship with Von D. They got engaged in January 2011, but called it off by September 2011 because he reportedly cheated on her with 19 women! "Today I encountered the 19th girl to add to the list of people Jesse cheated on me with during this last year," she wrote on her Facebook (via Us Weekly) in November 2011. "I know I deserve a big fat 'I told you so,' from everyone, and wish I didn't have to say, 'You all were more right than you'll ever know' but you were."
Claire Danes
Actress Claire Danes was introduced to singer Ben Lee in 1997 by her thespian pal Winona Ryder. Danes and Lee stayed together until 2003, when it was rumored that she was involved with Stage Beauty (2004) co-star Billy Crudup. At the time, Crudup was still in a relationship with Weeds (2005—2012) star Mary-Louise Parker, who also happened to be seven months pregnant. Three years later, Danes reportedly cheated on Crudup with Evening (2007) co-star Hugh Dancy. They wed in 2009
Tiger Woods
Oy vey, Tiger Woods. In 2009, news broke that superstar golfer Woods had cheated on his wife, Swedish model Elin Nordegren, with about 120 women. After learning about his infidelities, his now ex-wife reportedly chased him out of the house with a golf club. Can you blame her?
After that debacle, it seemed like Woods was steering clear of the dating scene. That is, until he went public about his relationship with Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn. The two have since split, and it was rumored their breakup was caused by Woods allegedly cheating on her with Amanda Boyd, the ex-wife of golfer Jason Dufner. Woods vehemently denied those reports, and Vonn attributed the breakup to their "hectic lives."
Dean McDermott
Reality star Dean McDermott apparently has yet to learn that cheaters never win. In June 2005, he was married to Canadian TV personality Mary Jo Eustace. They'd been married since 1993 and had two children together. In July 2005, McDermott began filming the Lifetime TV movie Mind Over Murder with co-star Tori Spelling, who was also married when shooting began. Apparently, when Spelling and McDermott met, fireworks ensued. During filming, both Spelling and McDermott began divorce proceedings with their significant others, and by May 2006 they were married to each other.
Multiple reality shows and four kids later, their union came under fire when McDermott reportedly cheated on Spelling while working in Canada. After news about the affair went public, McDermott entered rehab for substance abuse and sex addiction.
Charlie Sheen
Before tiger blood, goddesses, and an HIV diagnosis, Charlie Sheen attempted to be a normal, married man ... except, well, fidelity wasn't his strong suit.
In 2005, Sheen was rumored to have cheated on his then-wife of just two years, Denise Richards, prompting her to file for divorce when she was seven months pregnant with their second child. Sheen and his rep adamantly denied the cheating allegations.
He gave marriage another go with the oft-troubled Brooke Mueller, but that didn't end well either. In 2010, Radar Online and In Touch both reported that he was entertaining paid sex workers, notably an alleged escort named Angelina Tracy, during his marriage to Mueller, sometimes in their marital bed. Sheen was spotted more than once leaving Tracy's home, wearing a fake mustache at least once. A source told Radar Online, "It's the same old Charlie. He hasn't changed at all."
Sheen's rep denied the cheating allegations, telling Radar Online, "The woman in question is the sister of one of Sheen's campmates and Sheen was only responding to a 12th step call. Since Sheen knew he was being followed and how this would look, he wore the moustache in a tongue and cheek disguise gesture." He and Mueller would file for divorce in 2010 after quite an acrimonious and disturbing history.
Ozzy Osbourne
In May 2016, Ozzy Osbourne was busted cheating on Sharon, his wife of 33 years, with the family's longtime hairstylist, Michelle Pugh. They'd reportedly hooked up for four years before Sharon got wind of it.
"[Our relationship] felt like an old-fashioned romance," Pugh told People of her affair with Ozzy. "When I say he gave me the greatest love of my life, I mean it ... He made it very clear to me and asked me not to see anyone else. We had a very real relationship."
Unfortunately for Pugh, Ozzy felt differently. His rep told People, "Over the last six years, Ozzy Osbourne has been dealing with a sex addiction. He is sorry if Ms. Pugh took their sexual relationship out of context. He would like to apologize to the other women he has been having sexual relationships with. Out of the bad comes good. Since his relationship with Ms. Pugh was exposed, Ozzy has gone into intense therapy. Ozzy is mortified at what his behavior has done to his family. He thanks God that his incredible wife Sharon is at his side to support him."
Page Six also reported that Ozzy had been having numerous other affairs, but that Pugh was "the final straw" for Sharon, who'd previously claimed he'd hooked up with their family nannies. Interestingly, Ozzy later told The Times Of London, "I'm in a f**king rock band, aren't I? There have always been groupies ... I don't think I'm a f**king sex addict."
Chris Rock
Chris Rock and his wife of nearly 20 years, Malaak, split in 2016. The comedian would later confess that their divorce was due to his own infidelities. He told Rolling Stone in May 2017 that he cheated on his wife with three women, one of whom was a celebrity.
"I was a piece of s**t," he said, adding that the felt entitled to cheat because of his breadwinner status. "That's bulls**t. That actually goes the other way. My faults are magnified. Your significant other, if they really love you, has a high opinion of you. And you let them down."
Page Six later revealed that the celebrity with whom Rock allegedly cheated was none other than Scandal star Kerry Washington. Ironically, Washington co-starred with Rock in I Think I Love My Wife (2007), in which Rock's character contemplates cheating on his wife with Washington's character.
"He was cheating on his wife with Kerry when they were filming [I Think I Love My Wife (2007)] ... That went on for a while, for like six months, and she found out," a source said. "There's no gray area." Washington and Rock's reps didn't comment on the allegations.
Maybe it was art imitating life.
Kristen Stewart
In July 2012, Kristen Stewart was photographed making out with her Snow White And The Huntsman (2012) director, Rupert Sanders, despite being in a highly-publicized relationship with her Twilight (2009) co-star Robert Pattinson, and Sanders being married to model Liberty Ross, with whom he shares two children. (Adding insult to injury: Ross played Stewart's mom in the flick, which also featured their kids.)
Stewart released an apology to her longtime boyfriend. "I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected," she said (via People). "This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry." It's debatable whether or not their hookup was a one-time fling or, as the U.K.'s The People (not the same as People) reported, lasted months. In any case, Sanders and Ross divorced; Stewart and Pattinson briefly reconciled for the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 (2012) press tour before splitting for good.
It reportedly wasn't Stewart's only affair. Stewart dated Alicia Cargile for about two years, then reportedly ditched her for French singer Soko ... then allegedly cheated on Soko with Cargile, with whom she reunited at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2016. By October 2016, she quickly moved on to singer St. Vincent, then to Stella Maxwell by 2017. Despite still being with Maxwell, she was spotted leaving Cargile's home early in the morning in July 2017.
Ben Affleck
Ben Affleck subtly admitted that he cheated on then-fiancee Jennifer Lopez with Jennifer Garner on the set of Daredevil (2003), telling Playboy (via ABC News), "That's where I found my wife. We met on Pearl Harbor (2001), which people hate, but we fell in love on Daredevil (2003)."
Garner was married to Scott Foley at the time, and unfortunately for her, the whole "how you get them is how you'll lose them" theory rang true: After she filed for divorce from Affleck in April 2017, it was revealed that he'd been having an affair during their own marriage with Saturday Night Live producer Lindsay Shookus.
The affair reportedly began in 2013 after Affleck appeared on SNL (with Garner, no less). A source told Radar Online, "They had secret meetings at hotels in New York and Canada, but never went out for fear of being photographed together. Whenever they met, Lindsay would go in one way and Ben went in another. Radar Online also reported that Affleck and Shookus even communicated through a secret email account, adding, "They were together on the set of Justice League (2017) in London where Ben was filming reshoots ... Ben pledged to work on his marriage and the tension [with Garner] subsided, but he continued to see Lindsay in secret. She was the woman who ultimately ended any hope of reconciliation between Ben and Jen."
Affleck and Shookus, as of press time, are still dating.
David Boreanaz
David Boreanaz was no Angel during the first decade of his marriage to Jaime Bergman. In May 2010, the Bones star admitted to People, "Our marriage has been tainted with my infidelities. I just want to be open and honest. I was irresponsible." Boreanaz said that one of his mistresses, whom he declined to name, had hired attorney Gloria Allred and planned on leaking details of their affair to the press if he didn't funnel her some hush money.
"I was associated with a woman who I was involved with and had a relationship with," he explained. "She asked for money. I felt as though I was being blackmailed or there was some sort of extortion."
Radar Online reported that Boreanaz had previously paid the unnamed other woman twice, but balked when she then requested a six-figure sum to keep quiet.
As for who the woman may be? Boreanaz allegedly had affairs with Rachel Uchitel (of Tiger Woods fame) and porn star Gina "Demi Delia" Rodriguez. A Bones extra, Kristina Hagan, sued Boreanaz for sexual harassment, with TMZ noting that the suit was filed only after Boreanaz allegedly promised to get her better acting work and never delivered. Allred denied that the woman in question was Uchitel, but didn't comment on her identity otherwise.
Bergman and Boreanaz, as of press time, are still going strong.
Scott Disick
During Scott Disick's nearly decade-long relationship with Kourtney Kardashian, rumors of his infidelity ran rampant. In a March 2008 episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kardashian confronted Disick about texts she found in his phone that were allegedly from another woman. He cleaned up his act for the most part (at least in terms of other women, not necessarily his hard-partying), but he fell back into old habits by July 2015, when he was photographed cozying up to stylist Chloe Bartoli on the beach in Monaco. At that point, he and Kardashian split for what seems like for good.
Sienna Miller
Though Sienna Miller may be most famous for being the young ingenue on whom Jude Law cheated with the nanny, she actually has a pretty checkered dating history herself. Miller cheated on Law while they were together, hooking up with fellow British actor Daniel Craig behind Law's back.
She then very publicly rebounded from Law after their split with Balthazar Getty, who was (and remains) married.
Miller eventually moved on from Getty with actor Tom Sturridge, with whom she shares daughter Marlowe. However, Radar Online reported in October 2015 that Miller may have been hooking up with her Lost City Of Z (2017) producer Brad Pitt ... and she split with Sturridge around the same time filming began.
Brad Pitt
Brad Pitt cheating ways can be best seen in the infamous timeline of his relationship with Angelina Jolie.
Jolie told The New York Times in October 2008 that she'd show her and Pitt's children their film Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005) because "Not a lot of people get to see a movie where their parents fell in love." In December 2008, Pitt told Rolling Stone that he and Jolie "fell in love" while filming.
Us Weekly reported that Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005) was filmed in January 2004, almost a full year before Pitt and then-wife Jennifer Aniston filed for divorce.
In October 2015, Pitt produced Lost City Of Z (2017) starring Sienna Miller, reportedly sending Jolie into a jealous rage. "She's heard Brad bring up Sienna's name almost every day since the film went into production in August," a source told In Touch (via Radar Online). "Sienna really gets under her skin. Brad told her to let him do his job as a producer, and Angelina yelled that she didn't want him near Sienna. They barely talked to each other for the next day ... Angelina is absolutely galled at the way he's been crowing about Sienna and how he can't wait to cast her in a mother movie. She's worried they'll have great chemistry ... Her jealousy is getting the best of her." In September 2016, Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt. By summer 2017, Pitt was linked to Miller, despite Miller scoffing at the rumors.
Chris Brown
For all his own jealousy issues, Chris Brown has a hard time being "Loyal" to one woman at a time. In 2013, he confessed to Power 105.1 that he was dating two women at the same time: Rihanna and Karrueche Tran. When he and Rihanna eventually split for good in spring 2013, he reunited with Tran. The pair were on-again-off-again until 2015, when Tran made sure they were off for good ... because Brown got a model named Nia pregnant during their relationship.
Brown posted an Instagram rant about infidelity about a year later, writing (via Rolling Out), "We cheat on our girlfriends but we don't want them to cheat on us. You know why? Because we know cheating is wrong! We cheat for sex, just to f**k but when a woman cheats she cheats for love and affection. She cheats with a guy that can potentially replace you. We cheat the most but women cheat the best. We dish it out but we can't take it back. We act like it's the end of the world when we get cheated on. Women are not afraid to love, commit and be loyal but the problem sometimes is with us men." Sure, Breezy. Whatever helps you sleep at night.
Elizabeth Taylor
Elizabeth Taylor had more affairs than she did husbands—no small feat, seeing as the Dame was married to seven different men! According to the book Elizabeth Taylor: There Is Nothing Like A Dame (via The Mirror), while married to Eddie Fisher, she hooked up with the man who would become her next husband, Richard Burton. While married to Burton, Taylor had "the occasional fling." During her honeymoon after her wedding to first husband Nicky Hilton, she reportedly bedded Tony Curtis and Prince Rainier of Monaco, who would later marry Grace Kelly. While married to Michael Wilding, Taylor is said to have had an affair and become infatuated with Frank Sinatra.
Jack Nicholson
Jack Nicholson was in a relationship with actress Anjelica Huston for 17 years, from 1973 to 1990, throughout which he cheated on her at pretty much every possible opportunity. In her memoir, Watch Me (via The New York Post), Huston claimed that the Oscar winning actor bailed on one of their first dates to hook up with an ex-girlfriend, Michelle Phillips of the Mamas and the Papas. At an outdoor concert, singer Joni Mitchell sat in Nicholson's lap while Huston was right next to them. A model friend of Huston's said she'd slept with the Hollywood legend, which he dismissed as "a mercy f**k." He'd leave Huston on the street to ride bicycles with random French women, and she often found love notes from other girls, as well as tokens they'd leave behind in the home they shared.
Finally, in 1990, Nicholson told Huston over dinner that he'd fathered a child with Rebecca Broussard, 12 years Huston's junior. Days later, a Playboy article described a model's romp with Nicholson, which sent Huston over the edge: She admitted to going to Nicholson's office on the Paramount Pictures lot and physically attacked him before they were officially done for good.
Lamar Odom
After his divorce from Khloé Kardashian—which was delayed because of his overdose and hospitalization—he confessed to having numerous sidepieces throughout his marriage.
"[My marriage to Kardashian] opened this gate up with other women who probably wouldn't have been interested in me. When I became Khloé Kardashian's man and on TV, it made me look more enticing," he admitted to Us Weekly. "People who didn't even know basketball would approach me because they knew Lammy. B***hes and THOTs came out of the woodwork. If there is one thing I regret when I was married, it was having multiple affairs with different women. That wasn't the stand-up thing to do. I wish I could have kept my d**k in my pants."
Justin Timberlake
Justin Timberlake has a pretty squeaky-clean reputation now that he and Jessica Biel are married and parents to son Silas, but let's look back at the days when he was affectionately referred to as "Trouser Snake."
While in a relationship with Biel in 2009, Timberlake was rumored to have been clandestinely hooking up with Rihanna. A source told Star (via The Hollywood Gossip) that Rihanna and Timberlake were hot and heavy at an MTV Video Music Awards afterparty, which they eventually took to a hotel room and even lap dances in the studio.
"They tried to keep it a secret, but Jessica found out within days," a source said. "Rihanna and Justin have been talking and texting on the phone nonstop since the VMAs. She asked him on the phone, 'Are you still with Jessica?' And he hinted that things were cooling off between them." However, the alleged affair cooled off by that December.
Rihanna wasn't JT's only alleged other woman. Us Weekly reported that in September 2010, Timberlake spent three days hooking up with actress Olivia Munn, who he allegedly told he was single. A source told the magazine, "[Timberlake] has been telling people it's over with Jessica. The reality is, he's just doing it behind her back." Timberlake's rep denied the allegations.
Rita Ora
Rita Ora's first allegations of cheating came from Rob Kardashian, whom she dated briefly in 2012, though their definition of the relationship didn't match up. Ora told an Australian magazine (via The Mirror), "I never thought it was actually a relationship, in all honesty. I never mentally defined it as 'boyfriend, girlfriend.' When I split up with him, I said, 'It's because I'm never there, I don't know how to do it.' That's all I said, then ... the rest happened."
Kardashian saw things very differently. "She cheated on me with nearly 20 dudes while we were together," he tweeted (via E! Online). "I wonder how many she will sleep with now that we apart? But I mean 20? ... When a woman cheats on you with one man I can live with that. People make mistakes, trust me. I have forgiven numerous times...But when a woman disrespects herself by messing with more than 20 men all while being in a relationship with a faithful man ... Every time she messed up, I took her back for over a year now. I just had to do that to make her hate me."
Whether or not they were actually exclusive, Kardashian wasn't the only man who was reportedly suspicious of Ora's activities while they were together. When she dated Calvin Harris from 2013 to 2014, TMZ reported that they split because she got very friendly with none other than Justin Bieber while recording.
