Ciara And Russell Wilson Marry In England
Ciara and Russell Wilson are officially man and wife. The R&B singer and Seattle Seahawks quarterback said "I do" before more than 100 guests at the Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, England, E! News confirmed on July 6, 2016.
According to US Weekly, Ciara, 30, wore a "custom-made Cavalli Couture long-sleeve gown with deep V neckline, composed of white tulle, fully embroidered with floral motifs throughout, and delicate glass beading, covered entirely with precious Chantilly lace appliqué." AKA the dress was very fancy. Wilson, 27, wore a tux by Giorgio Armani that was equally elegant.
US Weekly adds that Ciara's six-person bridal party included famous faces, including actress La La Anthony, singer Kelly Rowland, and tennis star Serena Williams.
"We are The Wilsons!" the quarterback announced on Instagram alongside a pic of the newlyweds walking down the aisle.
The wedding caps off a whirlwind romance for the famous pair. They announced their engagement just four months ago after dating for about a year. "Following Paris Fashion Week, Russell surprised Ciara with a surprise holiday," a rep for the singer told US Weekly in March 2016. "She was shocked when they landed in the Seychelles at the exclusive resort North Island. The biggest surprise was that Russell proposed to his new fiancé at the romantic, private Honeymoon Beach, located on North Island."
Shortly after their relationship went public, Wilson turned heads when he admitted during an interview with The Rock Church that he and Ciara were remaining celibate until marriage. "I asked her, 'What would you do if we took all that other stuff off the table and did it Jesus' way, no sex?'" Wilson said. "I knew God had brought me into her life to bless her and for her to bless me and to bless so many people with the impact that she has and I have. We're not going to be perfect, by any means."
When asked about their decision in February 2016, Ciara admitted to Cosmopolitan, "We're hanging in there. I'm not gonna lie. I'm human, so it is not easy, especially when I look at him and I think he is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen—that I've ever laid my eyes on, to be honest. I'm like, 'Look the other way!'"
