Shawn Mendes And Camila Cabello Share Intimate Moment During 'Senorita' VMAs Performance
Is it hot in here, or is it just them?
Singers Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello channeled their real-life romance into a sultry performance of "Señorita" during the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards on Monday, August 26.
The pair, who have been anything but coy about their feelings for one another, brought the heat to the ceremony while singing their summer smash hit. Cabello wore a gorgeous white dress with puffed sleeves, her brown tresses in undone curls, and sizable hoop earrings that matched the embellishments on her attire. The 22-year-old songstress' slightly smoky, warm-toned eye make-up complemented her look beautifully as well. Mendes kept things simple, opting for a white tank top and jeans to let the guitar slung around his neck be the focal point of his VMAs get-up.
Cabello and Mendes practically floated across the stage, which was lit up to evoke moody candlelight, before meeting in the middle to share an intimate moment with each other. At the end of the performance, Mendes spun Cabello around, ran his fingers through her hair, and got just close enough to nearly kiss his real-life boo. They maintained a G rating for their duet, though, simply smiling at one another and rubbing noses together. Awww!
Mendes has, unfortunately, been the target of relentless rumors regarding his sexuality over the years. Time and again, Mendes has stated that he isn't gay, and has admitted to struggling with the constant assumption that he is no matter what he says or does to indicate otherwise. His relationship with Cabello has sadly been no exception to this speculation (or to theories that the romance is just an elaborate PR stunt), but it's evident by this performance that the pair are stronger — and more in lust — than they've ever been before.
Rumors be damned, Mabello (Shawnila?) lives on ... and gets close to getting it on during this extra-steamy VMAs performance. Hey, if Mendes thinks Cabello is wife material and his "favorite person in the whole world," you can't really blame him for almost swapping spit with her on stage, can you?
