Where Are These Real Housewives Kids Today?
Bravo's Real Housewives series have an unmatched level of drama. For families that are routinely causing controversy — from Turtle Time to prison time and the occasional blackface Halloween costume — their kids certainly manage to stay out of the spotlight. Could it be that the children of The Real Housewives grew up to be totally normal despite their TV roots? Sort of! It's a total toss up.
Somehow, all of the Manzo children grew up to have totally normal lives, albeit on the wildly successful line of normal. Ramona Singer's daughter strayed from the spotlight in favor of Wall Street, and the Hadids just followed in their mama's model footsteps. Business as usual, right? Unfortunately, for every Hadid Vogue cover or Manzo business venture, another housewife is probably spending her time visiting her kid in jail. Just check out what's going on with the former Real Housewives of Orange County.
From weddings, to babies, to business ventures, to attempted murder charges, this is what the children of the Real Housewives are up to now.
The Manzo brothers
Fans of The Real Housewives of New Jersey remember the Manzo brothers for their entrepreneurial spirit. During their time on the show, Albie and Chris moved to Hoboken, NJ, and launched the bottled water line BLK (you might remember seeing the bizarrely dark-tinged, alkaline water pop up in Walmarts across America). According to The Hollywood Reporter, the brothers were later pulled into a lawsuit that claimed they stole the concept, though it's not clear, as of this writing, how that was settled.
Since then, Albie and Chris have opened up three restaurants in Hoboken: The Ainsworth, Little Town (which closed to make room for the Ainsworth), and Little Town Social. Little Town Social has since closed down like its predecessor, but the Ainsworth remains kicking. Restaurants just happen to be the family business, and the pair credit their parents for instilling their work ethic. "We don't think were celebrities. We worked very hard to get to where we are," Albie told The Jersey Journal in 2011. "And I believe it comes from our parents. Our dad has always worked 15-hour days at The Brownstone in Paterson, and our mom has always taught us family values. We are not afraid of hard work."
After their time on RHONJ, both brothers appeared in Manzo'd With Children. Chris has since become a children's book author and host of the TV series Foul Territory, while Albie became a partner in the flower company Bloom & Birch.
Lauren Manzo
Lauren Manzo has grown up a lot since her time on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. The reality TV spawn has run through a number of major life milestones over the last few years. In 2018, the Manzo'd With Children star celebrated her 30th birthday with an epic party, and we're guessing her husband was in attendance because — you guessed it — she has a husband.
According to US Weekly, the starlet tied the knot with her long-term boyfriend Vito Scalia in 2015. To make things even more adorable, her reception was held at her family's restaurant. Two years later, the happy couple welcomed a baby girl — all before the starlet became a tricenarian. Since then, Lauren has dodged divorce rumors because she's taken her life out of the public eye (read: off Instagram) and started enjoying her time in the real world.
"They are very much married," said mama and certified Real Housewife Caroline Manzo during an appearance on her sons Albie and Chris' podcast, Dear Albie (via The Daily Dish). "Lauren just doesn't post a lot because she doesn't want to hear your bulls**t. Plain and simple. We deal with a lot of bulls**t; she doesn't want to hear it."
The Hadid sisters
The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills' Yolanda Hadid has a lot to be proud about. Her offspring — Gigi and Bella Hadid — are so famous we almost forget they're connected to the series at all. The Hadid sisters have done a lot more than kick-start the tiny sunglasses trend that just won't go away and looks good on practically no one. Gigi has even become a certified member of Taylor Swift's girl squad, though, it appears the gang has been dismantled. When you're traveling by shoving yourself inside a large suitcase to avoid the paps, it's hard to bring your friends along (at least according to Gigi's on-and-off boyfriend Zayn Malik).
Both Bella and Gigi take after their model mama. The pair are Vogue regulars, and made headlines when they posed together naked for the fashion rag in 2018. Bella also appeared in a 2019 exclusive digital cover for the publication, while Gigi graced the cover with Malik in 2017. Despite their undeniable talents, they do occasionally find themselves in hot water for some risque shoots, like the time Gigi had to apologize after her skin appeared darkened in a Vogue Italia shoot. Both girls landed a spot on Forbes' list of highest-paid models of 2017.
Anwar Hadid
Gigi and Bella Hadid also have a younger brother who jumped into the family business. Though he remains relatively under the radar, Anwar Hadid is, in fact, a model. According to W Magazine, the star made his runway debut in 2016 with Moschino. He's since become the face of Tommy Hilfiger and landed campaigns with Hugo Boss and Zadig & Voltaire. As of this writing, he is signed to IMG Models.
On the tabloid side, the youngest Hadid sibling has been linked to Kendall Jenner. According to Seventeen, Hadid and Jenner were spotted "making out at the CFDA Awards after-party in NYC" in June 2018. Things got even more scandalous from there when the couple were spotted sporting matching hickeys a few months later in September. By November of that year, he was reportedly posting Instagram stories about a breakup (hey, we were all teens once).
According to Page Six, Anwar also branched out from modeling and became a luxury jewelry designer. He launched the line Martyre in 2019 with rapper Yoni Laham. Pieces reportedly run from $195 to $795. C'mon, as if the Hadids shop at Claire's.
Brielle Biermann
Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak-Biermann has six children, but her eldest daughter Brielle Biermann is arguably the breakout star of their spin-off Don't Be Tardy. The star, who's the spitting image of her mom, has more than 1.3 million followers on Instagram, which she uses to hawk her makeup line, KAB Cosmetics. Brielle launched the cruelty-free brand alongside her mama and sister Ariana.
Brielle also made headlines for a high-profile relationship with a baseball star. According to People, she started dating Boston Red Sox minor league pitcher Michael Kopech in 2016. The Daily Dish reported that the pair called it quits in 2018, but it wasn't Brielle who sparked the split.
"It was more of him wanting to take a break, and he wanted me to wait on him," she told TooFab. "And I was like, 'I'm not gonna wait on you, dude. You clearly wanna go f**k around. You think I'm stupid? I'm not stupid. I'm not gonna be waiting for you to return. I have a life, too.' He was like, 'In a year, we can date.' I was like, 'Are you insane? No.'"
Josh Waring
Lauri Peterson, who left The Real Housewives of Orange County in 2008, has been open about her son's many legal struggles. When this mama joined her Bravo series, her introduction tagline was even "Are the police involved?" They were, in fact, usually involved. As of 2018, Josh Waring had spent the last two years in jail for attempted murder (per Page Six). So what happened?
According to The Los Angeles Times, Waring started "drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana" when he was 12 years old. He was "charged with felony assault" after fighting his teacher at age 16, and his time in a juvenile hall became a Real Housewives plot point. He sought treatment sometime between the first two seasons, but in 2008, he was "arrested for possession of heroin" and according to Page Six, hit with nine separate charges. The reality TV spawn was sent to jail for 8 months.
Since then, Waring has been bouncing in and out of jail. He tied the knot with a woman named Hannah Kiefer, who also had a substance abuse problem, and welcomed a daughter named Kennady Kaydence, who Peterson adopted. As of 2019, Waring was asking a judge to drop his murder charges in relation to a 2016 shooting outside of his sober living home because he believed prosecutors and investigators listened in on his "privileged jail phone calls," according to Radar Online. The tab also reported that Waring was accused of "slashing" inmates in jail and smuggling drugs.
Riley Burruss
Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss is hip hop royalty. The songstress could certainly afford a super, super sweet sixteen for her baby girl Riley Burruss. According to Page Six, Kandi bought her daughter a $50,000 Porsche on her milestone birthday (and here, the rest of us got a hand-me-down minivan, if anything at all).
Riley's new ride isn't the only thing that's brand new for the teen. Puberty was extra kind (by puberty, we mean some really hard work). The star managed to drop a whopping 52 pounds thanks to a healthier diet and exercise, according to The Daily Dish. In an Instagram post, her RHOA mama praised her daughter for her hard work and explained how she used her haters as motivation.
"Y'all just don't understand how hard it is to grow up in front of the public eye and in front of social media trolls who make negative comments about kids' weight. Luckily, Riley has tough skin and doesn't let it bother her, but as her mom, it used to piss me off when trolls would make negative comments about her size. Nobody knew she was over 200 lbs. because my daughter is tall," she wrote. "Riley is still working out five days a week. I'm so proud of her dedication."
Noel and Victoria de Lesseps
Noel and Victoria de Lesseps made headlines in 2018 after joining their father in a lawsuit against their own mother, former countess and Real Housewives of New York star Luann de Lesseps. According to The Blast, the star was allegedly in breach of her divorce deal when she sold their $8 million home in Bridgehampton, New York in 2014 after failing to create a trust for their two kids. She allegedly used that cash to purchase a brand new Hamptons home for $3.1 million.
Though Luann was legally allowed to change residence as part of the divorce deal, she had to make her children owners of one half of the new Hamptons home. Instead, she reportedly threatened to sell the house to purchase a pad in Upstate New York without giving her kids a dime. Victoria, Noel, and their father hoped to block the sale.
It's unclear what's happening with the lawsuit, as of this writing, but Luann claimed she has reconciled with her kids, who are taking the art world by storm. Victoria, who was working for Nicole Miller in 2019, had a 2014 showing at Art Basel Miami. Noel is also an artist and dabbles in skateboarding.
Alexa Curtin
Josh Waring isn't the only Real Housewives of Orange County kid to get into some nasty legal trouble. Lynne Curtin, who appeared on the series from 2006 to 2010, has a daughter named Alexa Curtin, who was arrested for possession of Xanax and drug paraphernalia in 2019, and possession of (heroine-related) paraphernalia in 2017, according to The Blast. The same outlet also reported that Alexa was charged with a DUI (for prescription drugs) that same year, and for driving without a valid license after crashing her car. Did we mention she also made adult films? What's happening in the OC?
According to People, Alexa also has some serious trouble with traffic stops. When she was pulled over in May 2016, cops reportedly found drugs in her car. She was hit with two misdemeanors: "possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance paraphernalia." She also got nabbed for not having her vehicle registration in the car. Two months prior to the incident, she filed a lawsuit "accusing an Orange County sheriff's deputy of raping her" during a prior stop in 2014. The department was reportedly taking the allegations "very seriously," according to OC Weekly.
Although an internal investigation by the Orange County Sheriff's Department did not find "sufficient evidence to support the filing of criminal charges" against the deputy (per People), Alexa eventually won a $2.25 million civil suit against the agency in August 2017.
Avery Singer
Ramona Singer's famed first tagline was "I like making my own money. I find that an aphrodisiac." As it turns out, her daughter, Avery Singer, doesn't stray too far from her mama's ideals. The young star decided to jump into the world of finance. There's no Turtle Time here, just hard work.
In 2018, Ramona gave The Daily Dish an update about her daughter, who had recently graduated from college. Avery reportedly had passed her Series 7 exam and was gearing up to take the Series 6 (for those of you who aren't financiers, those are required — and very tedious — exams you need to take before you can work on Wall Street).
"She said to me, 'Mom, I really want to be very successful financially in life, so what career should I pursue if I wanted to be very successful financially?'" Ramona told The Daily Dish. "I said, 'Well to me, where the most financial success is either Wall Street finance, [or] real estate or computer technology.' So she chose finance 'cause she's really good with numbers."
According to Avery's LinkedIn, the Real Housewives of New York daughter started working as an analyst at Neuberger Berman in March 2019. She previously worked as a registered associate at Morgan Stanley.
The Giudice sisters
Fans of The Real Housewives of New Jersey got to know Teresa Giudice's children from when she'd (almost constantly) scream Milania in her accent across the hallways of her mansion. As it turns out, the children of the Giudice household have totally come into their own after having to deal with their parents' traumatic legal woes. With "Juicy" Joe Giudice facing deportation following his fraud-related prison sentence, eldest daughter Gia took to Instagram to defend her dad.
"My father is no threat to society. He is one of the most warm-hearted people I know. He would never harm a soul," she wrote tagging #BringJoeHome. "My father did his time and learned from his mistakes. Isn't being in there supposed to make you realize your mistakes so you can become a better person? And that's exactly what my father did."
Gia, who's making college plans, was also working on a music career like her sister Milania. Gia's in the group 3KT, while Milania made her debut with the single "Can't Wait To Grow Up" in 2019. Youngest Giudice sister, Audriana, is busy trying her hand at fashion with Milania. According to Bravo's The Look Book, Audriana walked a runway at NYFW for Cosmopolitan, and Milania performed her song. Finally, Gabriella Giudice tends to shy away from the spotlight, but she did celebrate her 14th birthday in 2018 with a designer-themed party.
Ashley Holmes
Jacqueline Laurita's daughter took a few years to get it together following her time on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Ashley Holmes' move to Los Angeles rocked the series, and her habitual disagreements with her mama were a central plot point for some time. According to The Daily Dish, the star shipped out west in 2011 for an internship with Buzznet and Celebuzz and to work on a clothing line, website, and book. Let's be real: she was always all over the place — such is youth.
Her life in Hollywood didn't last long. Holmes got evicted from her L.A. apartment that same year. According to Radar Online, she owed $1,654.96 in back rent for October 2011, but eventually made it back to the west coast after the small hiccup.
"I went about handling the situation the absolute wrong way. What else can I say? It was a hard time for me. 20 years old and on my own for the first time — across the country," she told Real Mr. Housewife. "I learned the hard way, ha. After I was evicted from that apartment, I had moved back to NJ for about three months. I ended up being able to move back to LA shortly after."
Since then, Holmes reigned it in. The starlet had a child with then-boyfriend Pete Malleo in 2016. The pair eloped at City Hall two years later.
