Why Kim Kardashian Got A New Nanny For Her Oldest Son Saint West

Kim Kardashian recently confessed that she has hired a new nanny for her eldest son, Saint West, who is her second of four children. Kardashian's revelation occurred during an episode of "The Kardashians," following Saint's emotional outburst over leaving his jersey at home. "It's really hard for me to be really strict and to discipline a lot," Kardashian shared during a confessional. "My parents weren't strict at all and sometimes because I'm really busy, it would be amazing if I had a partner who would tap me out and take over and handle it but, you know, it can't happen like that." Since Saint's parents are divorced, Kardashian feels he lacks a consistent male influence in his life. Kardashian's solution was to hire a male nanny.

Although Kardashian was afraid to break the news to Kanye, he supported the decision and made an effort to introduce himself to the male nanny. He also gave him input about how to raise Saint. West's response denotes a positive shift in his co-parenting journey with Kardashian, which hasn't always been smooth sailing. Fortunately, West is finally living up to Kardashian's hopes for their relationship, which she revealed to Vogue in March 2022. "Make sure you are your co-parent's biggest cheerleader, no matter what you're personally going through," Kardashian explained to the outlet. That said, social media has sounded off about how Kardashian is choosing to raise her kids.

What social media thinks about Kim's decision

Kim Kardashian's admission had fans rushing to share their opinions. For starters, many fans agreed with Kardashian's decision to hire a male nanny for Saint West. "Kanye travels a lot for work so I love that Kim did this. Smart! I'm sure Saint appreciates it," wrote one Kardashian supporter. "She cares so much about her children it's really a rarity in the industry. best kardashian mother AFTER kylie," tweeted another fan.

However, there are also plenty of fans who didn't support Kardashian's decision. "A man you own and pay, who is not the father of the children, cannot have a male influence on them, its an illusion. Simply allow them to spend more time with their father," one person opined. Ultimately, several fans thought that a manny couldn't provide the guidance that Kanye West could. "A male nanny can never replace a "Father," tweeted another social media user. Another West supporter replied, "Yeezy wouldnt mind doing all those things himself, why not let him."

Meanwhile, some fans didn't care much about Kardashian's parenting habits and used the conversation to kick off their jokes. One fan, for example, compared the situation to an episode of "Friends" when Rachel and Ross hired a male nanny to watch their baby — and hilarity ensues. "All I can think about is that episode of #Friends," they tweeted

Saint Wests' behavior has been a talking point

While all of Kim Kardashian's kids are full of personality, Saint West may be the most expressive. Over the past few years, Saint has regularly inspired conversation by displaying his charming personality and childhood antics. For example, Saint recently gained a ton of attention after flipping off paparazzi, as reported by Page Six. The moment occurred in mid-September as the mother and son duo accompanied one of Saint's friends during an outing. While Saint found humor in the situation, Kardashian attempted to reprimand him.

Nearly four years earlier, Saint experienced another awkward interaction with the paparazzi. In December 2019, paparazzi recorded Kardashian, Saint, and his siblings after they'd enjoyed a family dinner. During the exchange, documented by Splash News, Saint rightfully told the paparazzi to stop taking his pictures. (It must be exhausting!) However, he then went a step further and called them names. "Hey fat people!" he yelled. Later in the video, Kardashian struggled to remove Saint from their car after they arrived at their next destination. Although neither moment was Saint's brightest, it's important to remember that he's still a young child who's still adjusting to having his mischief publicized.
