2019 Golden Globes: The Complete List Of Winners
Did your favorite celebs win big at the 2019 Golden Globe Awards?
On Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019, the 76th Annual Golden Globes took place at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, where the entertainment industry's biggest stars gathered to honor the year's very best in film and television.
With Killing Eve star Sandra Oh and Brooklyn Nine-Nine's Andy Samberg bringing the funny and joining forces as the award show's co-hosts, the event featured a number of memorable moments, including Oh herself sharing a powerful speech on diversity in Hollywood. While If Beale Street Could Talk actress Regina King urged all industries to work toward gender equality during an impassioned acceptance speech, The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story executive producer Brad Simpson made a political statement which called for love, empathy, acceptance, and resistance amid the current sociopolitical climate.
As for the awards themselves, Vice led the film category with six noms, while A Star Is Born, Green Book, and The Favourite followed closely behind with five nods each. Meanwhile, The Assassination of Gianni Versace led the pack in television with four nominations, while The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Barry, Homecoming, and The Americans all scored three. This year's notable winners included legendary comedian Carol Burnett and acclaimed actor Jeff Bridges, who respectively received the first-ever TV Lifetime Achievement Award, a.k.a. the Carol Burnett Award, and the coveted Cecil B. DeMille Award. Both awards honor outstanding contributions to entertainment.
