Strange Things About Jessica Alba's Marriage
Jessica Alba and Cash Warren appeared to have the perfect relationship after meeting in 2004 on the set of Fantastic Four. Alba played the role of Susan Storm — also known as the Invisible Woman — while Warren was working as a production assistant, according to PopSugar. As soon as she laid eyes on him, the actress, who would later become the head honcho of The Honest Company, knew she had found her perfect match, but the events that occurred after she and Warren first linked up had us convinced that things weren't as picture-perfect as they seemed.
Prior to becoming husband and wife in 2008, she reportedly dumped him in the most insensitive way, but they reconnected after a life-changing event altered the dynamics of their relationship. But more on that in a bit...
Right now, the parents of three have one of the most solid marriages in the entertainment industry. Sadly, it has been riddled with cheating allegations and Alba's confession that the green-eyed monster frequently makes an appearance in their relationship. If that doesn't sound bizarre enough, just wait until you hear the rest of the strange things about Jessica Alba's marriage.
Alba fell in love while with another man
A year after their fateful first encounter on the set of the first Fantastic Four film, Jessica Alba gushed about her new leading man. "Yes, his name is Cash. ... he's not famous. He might be The One," she told Cosmopolitan. Well, okay then! Jessica Alba: actress, businesswoman, and fortune teller!
They weren't able to embark on a whirlwind romance right away, though. "It was kind of a love-at-first-sight thing, but I met him when I was dating someone else, so it started off as a friendship," she said. Ruh roh.
Despite being involved with another man, Alba said she was "attracted to [Warren's] spirit," and, when they finally became an item, he sealed the deal in the corniest way. "He gave me a note and signed it with a dollar sign, because his name is Cash. It just said, 'I really, really like you.' And that was exactly how I felt at the time. Really, really liking him too much ... I was already in love with him."
This is a cute love story, as long as you're not the guy Alba dumped for Warren!
Cash Warren was desperate to get hitched
At the start of their relationship, Cash Warren couldn't help but follow Jessica Alba around like a sick puppy, according to a 2005 interview with Rolling Stone magazine. It was noted that during the interview, Warren was trying on Dolce & Gabbana suits to accompany Alba to industry events. To appease his then-girlfriend, he told the interviewer, "Basically, I do whatever the girl wants." Well, that's one way to get someone to fall in love with you ... said no one ever!
If that wasn't cringeworthy enough, the publication revealed that, for the past six months, Warren had been "doing everything in his power to persuade her to marry him."
During their chat with Rolling Stone, Alba described their relationship by saying, "If I met Cash and I was married to somebody else, I would have to get a divorce. We make that much sense together." But, obviously, they didn't make that much sense at the time because they ended up going through a breakup just two years after the article was published.
Jessica Alba once broke up with Cash Warren in the cruelest way
After dating for close to three years, the Honey actress was allegedly fed up with Cash Warren and his incessant jealousy. "Friends told him to get a hold of himself, but he was always accusing her of flirting with other guys," a source told the National Enquirer. "She just got sick of it."
Jessica Alba jetted overseas to promote the 2007 sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, and, while she was there, she allegedly dumped him over the phone! According to a source who spoke with Us Weekly (via Dlisted) in July 2007, Alba allegedly told Warren, "I'm not in love with you anymore."
She didn't stop there. Hours after dumping him via phone, she allegedly had her assistant in Los Angeles pack up all of Warren's belongings in their home. Sounds like Alba had been listening to too much Beyoncé. "To the left, to the left. Everything you own in the box to the left!" Straight up savage, Jess!
As we now know, their breakup didn't last very long. By the time December rolled around, People magazine announced that Alba was pregnant, and, weeks after the pregnancy announcement, the Sin City star and her beau got engaged.
Jessica Alba threw Cash Warren out ... twice!
While pregnant with their first child, Honor Marie, Jessica Alba's pregnancy hormones had her going absolutely bonkers, which led to a bunch of tension in her and Cash Warren's once-happy home. "I think I've already thrown Cash out of the house twice since I've been pregnant," she once revealed, as reported by The Sydney Morning Herald. "He's like, 'Are you just pregnant? I hope you're just pregnant and acting crazy,' and I'm like, 'It has nothing to do with that!'"
Obviously, Warren didn't care too much about her out-of-whack emotions because Alba was still very much pregnant — and hormonal — when they tied the knot. But at least Alba was aware that she was a bit out of line. She told the publication, "You get so emotional when you're pregnant, and so irrational. It's totally dumb."
Thankfully, there have been no further reports of Warren being tossed from their $10 million Beverly Hills, Calif. pad ... well, not yet at least.
Jessica Alba admits to being super jelly
Jessica Alba was asked what it was like playing the "other woman" in the hit movie Little Fockers during an interview with Access Hollywood. "Well, I'm a wife," The Machete actress said. "So, I know that even if my husband isn't doing anything with someone that he works with, if they are even remotely attractive or have like, a little bit of energy, or if they even have a little like, cute word back and forth, I get really crazy."
Say what?! One of Hollywood's most beautiful stars is threatened by other women? Yes, it's true.
She went on to tell a cringeworthy story about just how jealous she can get. It all went down when Cash Warren jammed his finger and had to get his wedding ring cut off. She added that he tried to convince her that it was okay for him to go ring-less for awhile. "He's like, 'Babe — everyone knows I'm married," she recalled. "And I'm like, 'Oh hell no. You're wearing the ring again. None of that foolishness!'"
Earth to Alba: A wedding ring never stopped a man from cheating.
Case in point...
Did Cash Warren cheat with Lindsay Lohan?
According to Us Weekly, a little more than a year after Jessica Alba and Cash Warren got married, Warren was spotted partying — and allegedly exhibiting his worst behavior — alongside actress Lindsay Lohan at a Hollywood nightclub. "Lindsay and Cash started making out," a source told the publication. "Lip on tongue," the insider added, before stating, "It was raw. They were not shy!"
While onlookers were reportedly shocked that the married celebrity was openly canoodling with someone other than his wife, his close friends were allegedly well aware of his modus operandi. "When he goes out with friends, he gets into trouble," a pal told the publication.
Get this — Lohan actually responded to the allegations, telling the magazine that the rumors were "absurd." She stated, "He is married. I wouldn't dare kiss him." Alba must have believed her because she told People magazine that the reports about her hubby cheating on her were "ridiculous."
We'll probably never get to the bottom of this story, but we just hope Warren's alleged hard-partying days are behind him for good.
Jessica Alba needs 'us time' all the time
As the mother of Honor, Haven, and Hayes, actress Jessica Alba has her hands full. And her days always start super early, beginning with morning workouts three times a week as a way to get into a "meditative" state, as she told Redbook magazine in 2018.
Despite her hectic schedule, she also makes it a priority to squeeze in some time with her main man. "I always try to get home from work for bath time and to cuddle the kids before bed. After that, Cash and I have dinner together and talk about our days. I need 'us' time all the time," she said.
That's super cute — really, it is. But we wonder if Alba's need to spend so much time with Warren coincides with their alleged raging jealousy? If they're always together, they don't have to worry about the other one flirting with anyone else, right?
Jessica Alba and Cash Warren's wedding was 'laughably awkward'
We don't want to come across as petty or anything, but we find it kind of odd how Cash Warren referred to his 2008 wedding with Jessica Alba. Here's how the cringeworthy moment went down: In May 2019, Warren took to Instagram to wish Alba a happy anniversary. But instead of entirely waxing poetic about the special day, the producer took a few sentences to focus on the less glamorous details, writing, "It wasn't the dream wedding you deserved, in fact, it was laughably awkward. Standing under an arch of dusty plastic flowers in the courthouse chapel, we held hands and said I Do. No friends or family in attendance...just you, me and the courthouse employee who served as our witness."
Alba was nine months pregnant at the time, so we understand why she didn't want to go all out for her nuptials. Plus, they were engaged, and getting married is about love rather than the party, right? Still, we're a little taken aback about how Alba followed up Warren's post, telling James Corden days later: "I remember I looked over at him and we were in bed, and I was like, 'Do you have any meetings this morning?' And he was like, 'I don't think so.' And I was like, 'Should we get married?' And he was like, 'Okay.'"
Bottom line? To each their own.
Cash Warren has an interesting opinion on Jessica Alba's sex scenes
It's not uncommon for partners to argue about certain topics, but it's less typical for a married couple to bicker over sex scenes. Yet, that's exactly what happened when Jessica Alba and Cash Warren appeared on the The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast in May 2019, with the two disagreeing about whether getting steamy with a co-star is "disgusting" or not. Warren, who is not an actor, seemed excited about the prospect, saying, "There's no way hooking up with someone else is not fun. But you're still having fun, that dude's a stud. There's no way you're not gonna enjoy hooking up with him." Making matters even more awkward? Warren added, "I would be an actor just to have that moment." Yikes.
Alba wasn't thrilled with Warren's reaction, responding, "That's the difference between me and you. It's just disgusting most of the time because they are usually a stranger." And although there's absolutely nothing wrong with having sex with a stranger (one-night stands are a thing, no?), we find it odd how Warren replied to her opinion. "Even more fun. No way," he quipped.
Of course, each person is entitled to their own feelings about sex. That being said, however, we think it's a kind of odd how Warren seemingly dismissed his wife's feelings here.
