Food Network Star Alton Brown Marries Fiancee Elizabeth Ingram
Food Network star Alton Brown is a married man!
On Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018, the Good Eats star took to Instagram to reveal that he and his fiancée, interior designer Elizabeth Ingram, have tied the knot in a ceremony held on a boat in Charleston, S.C.
"Mom and dad got married on a boat and all I got was a glass of weird fizzy stuff," Brown jokingly wrote, captioning a cute snapshot of the couple's dog, Abigail, at the reception. In another post shared on Monday, Oct. 1, the 56-year-old celebrity chef naturally raved about the food served on their special day. "Want to thank @chubbyfishchs in #Charleston for the special brunch yesterday," he wrote. "The food, based on local by-catch, was one of the best meals I can remember. The shrimp and rice was my favorite, though I obviously didn't get a clear shot of it."
For her part, Ingram posted a pic of herself looking gorgeous in a white silk and lace dress alongside a friend on her big day. Meanwhile, her cousin, singer Liz Phair, shared a special message with the newlyweds on Twitter. "Wedding bells in the family yesterday!" she wrote. "Congratulations to my beautiful cousin Beth and her love, @altonbrown xoxo I wish I could have been there!"
According to Architectural Digest, Brown and Ingram got engaged in April of this year after meeting at a book signing for Brown's cookbook, EveryDayCook, in the fall of 2016. The newly married pair later fell in love while collaborating on renovating the Cutthroat Kitchen alum's Marietta, Ga. apartment the following summer.
"Quite frankly, I think we'll be a good married couple because we already know what that collaboration looks like," Brown told the publication earlier this month. "Even if it hadn't ended the way it is ending, it would have been a delightful process. I love this loft."
Their wedding marks the second marriage for Brown, who finalized his divorce with ex-wife and Good Eats executive producer DeAnna Brown in May 2015. The former couple share one child together, 19-year-old daughter Zoey.
Brown and Ingram aren't the only celeb pairing to get hitched this weekend. As Nicki Swift previously reported, Gwyneth Paltrow married producer Brad Falchuk in a star-studded ceremony held at the actress' home in the Hamptons on Saturday, Sept. 29.
Congratulations to Brown and Ingram on their nuptials!
