Actress Rashida Jones, Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig Secretly Welcomed First Child Last Month

Actress Rashida Jones is a mom!

On Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018, multiple media outlets reported that the Parks and Recreation alum secretly welcomed her first child with longtime boyfriend and Vampire Weekend singer Ezra Koenig earlier this summer.

According to E! News, Jones apparently gave birth to a baby boy named Isaiah Jones Koenig in Los Angeles on Aug. 22. As Us Weekly noted, Jones, 42, and Koenig, 34, have been romantically linked since 2016.

At the time of this writing, additional details about the couple's newborn son have not been revealed.

The Angie Tribeca star, who's the daughter of legendary music producer Quincy Jones, previously opened up about the prospect of marriage and kids in 2014. At the time, she candidly told The Guardian, "I'm happy, but the fact that I'm not married and don't have kids — it's taken me a long time to get to a place where I actually am OK with that, where I actually don't feel like I'm some sort of loser."

While the notoriously private pair have yet to publicly comment on the news, a number of other celebs have shared exciting baby announcements of their own in recent weeks — including Last Week Tonight host John Oliver. As Nicki Swift previously reported, the comedian recently told People magazine that he and and his wife, Army veteran Kate Norley, secretly welcomed their second child, a baby boy, three months ago. "It's bewildering [and] exhausting juggling that and the show," Oliver, who also shares 2-year-old son Hudson with Norley, said of being a new father-of-two. "But no, it's the greatest."

Meanwhile, Law & Order: SVU star Kelli Giddish is pregnant with baby no. 2. The actress, who's best known for playing Amanda Rollins on the hit NBC drama, debuted her growing baby bump at the show's season 20 premiere in New York City late last week. While walking the red carpet, she quipped, "I'm feeling good, but ready to not be pregnant anymore!" Giddish and husband Lawrence Faulborn had welcomed their first child, son Ludo, in 2015.
