The Truth About Caitlyn Jenner's Rumored Girlfriend, Sophia Hutchins

After after a rocky split from Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner, Caitlyn Jenner has allegedly finally found love again with a rather odd rebound. According to reports, Caitlyn might be dating Sophia Hutchins, an aspiring model who is nearly 50 years younger than her. Caitlyn and Hutchins have been rumored to be a couple ever since they were spotted vacationing in Mexico in October 2017. The two even reportedly live together in a sprawling pad in Malibu, Calif., but to this day, very little is known about Caitlyn's arm candy. They keep an exceptionally low profile, only occasionally attending red carpet events and sharing photos on Instagram together.

What we do know about the blonde bombshell is that she's also transgender and is a Pepperdine University alum who shares Caitlyn's love for golfing, traveling, and shopping. Keep reading for the truth about Caitlyn Jenner's reported boo, Sophia Hutchins.

She's got beauty… and brains

On the surface, Hutchins appears to be a stunning California girl who likes makeup and wine, but fans might be shocked to learn that she's all about business, too. According to Hutchins' (now-deleted) LinkedIn profile, she studied finance at Pepperdine University, where she also served as class president.

Hutchins listed off some of her work-related history on her profile, writing (via Heavy), "I have passed policies advocating for international students, social justice, financial literacy, and a computer science major. I was elected to the Freshman Senate, and then Sophomore President." She also noted that she is "an active student networking member of the CFA (Certified Financial Advisors) Society of Los Angeles."

Hutchins detailed her involvement in a variety of campus organizations in a 2016 interview with the Pepperdine University Graphic, which included serving as the chair of the LGBTQ+ committee in SGA and helping in the creation of Crossroads, Pepperdine's first LGBTQ+ club. Not too shabby.

Are they or aren't they?

Though Sophia Hutchins and Caitlyn Jenner appear to be in romantic bliss, the two have yet to confirm their relationship as of this writing. Sources close to Jenner have been shutting down the rumors since 2017, with one insider telling People the Olympian had "no interest" in dating. Even Jenner has danced around the topic, telling Variety in 2018, "We are not going to get into that. But we are very close. We do a lot of things together. We're kind of inseparable. We're the best of friends."

Hutchins, on the other hand, fueled speculation about their rumored romance in July 2018, when she revealed that she was indeed in a relationship during a Q&A session on Instagram. When asked if the lucky woman was Jenner, Hutchins simply responded with an eye roll emoji, reported Page Six. Are these two really an item? Looks like we may never know.

Burned bridges

When you're in a serious relationship with someone who has kids, you naturally want to form strong bonds with their children. Sophia Hutchins' apparent formula for getting close with Caitlyn Jenner's baby girl, Kylie Jenner, was to become one of her many cheerleaders. Hutchins has flaunted her support of the lip kit mogul by showing off her massive stash of Kylie Cosmetics products on Instagram, and she even attended Kylie's 21st birthday party alongside Caitlyn in August 2018.

However, that same month, Caitlyn reportedly suggested Kylie hire Hutchins to work on her makeup line. That's when Kylie supposedly sounded off about her true feelings for Hutchins. A source told Radar Online"Kylie wasn't hearing any of that and told Cait Sophia's too young and only in the relationship for the money." Rumor has it Caitlyn took offense and reportedly argued that Hutchins was "the most honest, open and understanding women she's ever been with in her life." According to Radar's insider, Kylie "took that as a diss to her mother and they dropped the subject."

Sadly, that might not be the only the tense relationship between Hutchins and one of Jenner's kids. There could also be drama with son Brody Jenner, considering Caitlyn infamously skipped his wedding in June 2018 to attend a star-studded event with Hutchins in Vienna, Austria. Brody's mother, Linda Thompson, later told Us Weekly that her son was "very disappointed" by Caitlyn's decision to skip the wedding.

Down for the ride

Jenner made headlines in 2016 when she revealed in her reality TV show I Am Cait that she thought Donald Trump "would be very good for women's issues" (via E! News). To literally no one's surprise — except Jenner's apparently — the comments prompted immediate and widespread backlash, resulting in Jenner reportedly losing support from the LGBTQI+ community. A source close to the reality star opened up to Heat magazine about the outrage, explaining that Hutchins was truly the only person who was really there for Jenner throughout the turmoil.

"Cait is a complete outcast at the moment. She has also lost friends in the LGBT community because of her political views [backing Donald Trump]," the insider explained (via Mirror). The insider noted, "She lost her support system when she fell out with her family and these days, it feels like Sophia's the only person she can count on."

Perhaps it was Hutchins' reported unwavering support that contributed to this next update...

Bride-to-be?

Caitlyn Jenner and Sophia Hutchins are reportedly ready to tie the knot! A source broke the exciting news to Radar Online in May 2018, explaining that the decision came after the couple realized their true feelings for one another. "They consider each other soul mates and freely admit they couldn't imagine a life with anyone else at this point," the insider dished.

The site also reported that Jenner is actually in a rush to get hitched again after her fallout with the Kardashians, which stemmed from the athlete's 2017 tell-all book, The Secrets of My Life, in which she made some startling claims against her former wife Kris Jenner.

"Cait has a wedding planner to handle all the details," the source continued. "This is a dream come true for Cait because her rejection by the Kardashians — and even her own daughters — had left her feeling isolated and suffering from a crippling depression. Sophia has changed all that."

While details of the rumored wedding are still pretty cloudy, the insider revealed that the alleged ceremony will go down on a bluff near Jenner's Malibu home and that both Jenner and Hutchins will wear bridal gowns and carry bouquets.

Discovering herself

Before Sophia Hutchins was known as Jenner's much younger girlfriend, she was known as the super conservative Scott Hutchins. Although she admitted to her school newspaper, Pepperdine University Graphic, in 2016 that she had identified as a woman since she was a young child, she said that she used to identify as gay because she thought more people would accept him. Hutchins only grew comfortable with her identity after researching the process of transitioning, and, in 2016, while still enrolled at Pepperdine, she decided to undergo a full transition.

"[I'd] always had the question of 'Do I want to transition from male to female?'" Hutchins said. "I never thought a lot about doing it until I got into college because I was able to break away from my family and started to establish my own identity."

She added, "College gave me the time to deal with a lot of issues that had always been there."

Jenner's early influence

Caitlyn Jenner has been a major influence on Sophia Hutchins long before they were even rumored to be a couple. In a 2016 interview with her school newspaper, Pepperdine University Graphic, Hutchins revealed that her decision to transition had been fueled by Jenner's 2015 interview announcing her own gender transition on ABC's 20/20. Hutchins said that Jenner's announcement "made it so much more real for [her], like normal and successful people do this and people are OK when they do it."

Even so, Hutchins went on to explain that she felt emotionally abandoned by her peers during the transitioning process, saying, "Nobody ever asks me 'How are you doing?' when I tell them I am transitioning. I feel like they are not concerned about me. As a friend and a classmate, I feel like people should be concerned with how [I am] doing but no one instantly thinks of that."

Fast forward to the present, and it appears as though Hutchins has found the perfect support system in Jenner. If the rumors are true, best of luck to these two.
