RHONJ's Teresa Giudice Shamed For Posting Pic Of Daughters

Teresa Giudice of The Real Housewives of New Jersey received some serious hate from her Instagram followers after she posted a seemingly innocent photo of three of her daughters.

The reality TV star shared a picture of kids Gia, Milania, and Audriana on her Instagram page, showing the sisters at dinner while on vacation in the Bahamas. "Sister Love," Giudice captioned the post, adding the hashtags, "#bahamas #family #laughing." But apparently some fans took offense to the photo, as they thought the young girls weren't dressed appropriately for their age.

"No need for... an un-buttoned shirt," one Instagram user wrote in a comment, calling attention to 17-year-old Gia's outfit, which showed part of her bra (via The Hollywood Gossip). Also criticizing Gia, another commenter wrote, "Wow....bra showing...wtf ... These girls are going to turn into pure trash if this continues."

Some other commenters found issue not with the girls' clothes but with their apparent use of makeup — particularly 9-year-old Audriana's full-face of beauty products. "Beautiful girls," one person wrote. "But no need for makeup."

Fortunately, not all of the comments beneath Giudice's Instagram post were negative. Some people actually praised Giudice for her great parenting, as she's been raising her daughters alone while her husband, Joe, serves time behind bars for bankruptcy fraud and conspiracy. "Your girls are all so beautiful. Despite it all you are doing an amazing job," one person left in a comment (via Yahoo!).

Someone else wrote, "Any adult with sense knows not to say negative comments about children." Yeah, we second that.

Sadly, this isn't the first time that Giudice has been mom-shamed for her Instagram posts of her family. On Aug. 7, 2018, she posted a photo of herself with her daughters, all of whom were wearing bikinis on the beach. And, as could be expected, people were shocked at how much skin Giudice was allowing her daughters to show (via The Hollywood Gossip). Need we remind people that most young girls wear bikinis nowadays? It's just the style! And it's no one's business how Giudice's children dress but her own.

However, the girls' clothing choices weren't the only thing bothering commenters. Several people also called Giudice out for letting her daughters get so tan. "The tans need to go, very dangerous!" one comment read (via Yahoo!). "Hopefully, they are spray on but I have my doubts."

While getting a glow via tanning bed or direct UV rays can be dangerous — especially for children — there's no evidence that that's how Giudice's kids are getting tan. They could be using spray products or lotions to achieve their darkened skin, which wouldn't be too surprising considering how mama Giudice gets spray tans herself. The girls might also just tan really easily, even if they are taking care to apply sunscreen. It just... happens.

Of course, celebrities today are no strangers to getting shamed by their followers online. At this point, it seems like just part of the job. Like Giudice, Kim Kardashian West was criticized for allowing her 5-year-old daughter North wear a neon-yellow bikini on a yacht this summer. "Why is your child showing that much skin?" one person said in the comments of Kardashian West's Aug. 29 post (via Yahoo!). "I get that [it's] a swimsuit but c'mon."

Others apparently alleged that Kardashian West was sexualizing her young daughter by dressing her in a two-piece swimsuit. "She can wear what she wants but posting this could maybe give wrong signals," one social media user wrote.

Kardashian West had previously come under fire for straightening North's hair (via Cosmopolitan). The reality TV star replied to criticism by explaining that she allows North to wear her hair straight on only two occasions: "on her birthday and birthday party!" Honestly, that seems pretty fair.

So, maybe mom-shamers can learn to just back off. They simply don't know all sides to every story, and, for the most part, they're not experts in child-rearing anyway.
