Kendra Wilkinson Says 'Divorce Sucks' Amid Hank Baskett Split
Reality TV star Kendra Wilkinson is coping the best she can amid her highly publicized divorce from former NFL star Hank Baskett.
On Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2018, the Kendra On Top star took to her Instagram Stories to open up about her new single life.
"Maybe now is the time for a dating app just to help me with my garage," she jokingly wrote alongside a snapshot of herself cleaning out storage. Completing the caption with crying laughing emojis and a praying hands emoji, Wilkinson added, "I need a man please. Wait, no I don't. #divorcesucks." In a second post, the former Kendra star reflected on her previous marriage with a photo of the show's DVD, writing, "I was the happiest girl in the world, sold on the most perfect dream."
The Girls Next Door alum went on to share one more pic with her fans — a more serious selfie. "Just when I think I'm healed," she wrote in the caption, "I start to cry."
As Nicki Swift previously reported, Wilkinson, 33, and Baskett, 35, called it quits on their nearly nine-year marriage in early April 2018. They share two young children: 8-year-old son Hank Jr. and 4-year-old daughter Alijah. At the time, the former couple seemed to be on the same page, as they both cited irreconcilable differences in their separate divorce filings, while seeking joint legal and physical custody of their kids.
However, their seemingly amicable breakup took a nasty turn in early June when Wilkinson took to Twitter to accuse Baskett of recording her during an argument. The television personality, who's been known to reflect on their split in emotional social media posts, later apologized to her estranged ex in a series of deleted tweets. Among other things, she admitted, "I was the reason your football career ended."
Wilkinson and Baskett aren't the only celeb pairing on reality TV to keep fans updated after calling it quits this year. Earlier this month, WWE stars John Cena and Nikki Bella, who documented their on-and-off romance on Total Bellas, shared cryptic messages on social media to mark what would have been their six-year anniversary after splitting up for good in late July 2018. "You've changed me forever. And I'll never forget you," Bella, who decided to end their engagement for a second time this summer, shared on Instagram. Meanwhile, Cena seemingly shaded his ex on Twitter with, "The promises you make mean nothing compared to those you keep."
