Catfish Star Nev Schulman, Wife Laura Perlongo Expecting Second Child Together

Catfish's Nev Schulman is going to be a dad again!

On Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2018, the MTV star took to Twitter to announce that he and wife Laura Perlongo are expecting their second child together, a baby boy.

"WE GOTTA BUN IN THE OVEN! see ya in January lil' guy," Schulman wrote, captioning a cute snapshot of himself, Perlongo, and their 22-month-old daughter, Cleo James, staring at bread in their oven. He completed the caption with a family-of-four emoji. For her part, Perlongo shared a photo of the proud parents looking on as their daughter cried, writing, "Cleo is getting a baby brother! It's gonna be great!"

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Schulman, 33, and Perlongo, 32, tied the knot in the Hamptons last July after announcing their engagement in May 2016. The married pair's toddler Cleo, who was born in October 2016, served as their flower girl. Shortly after getting hitched, the reality TV star gushed to People magazine about his family-of-three, saying, "I never imagined I could be this happy. Marrying the woman of my dreams and having our beautiful daughter there with us! I'm a very lucky man."

Schulman's baby news comes on the heels of co-host Max Joseph's departure from Catfish. Earlier this month, Joseph took to Twitter to reveal that he would be leaving the series after seven seasons. At the time, Schulman replied to his longtime collaborator's post with, "QUITTER!!! jk jk love you bro." 

Catfish fans may remember that production on the show was temporarily halted in May 2018 after Ayissha Morgan, a woman who appeared on the series three years ago, accused Schulman of sexual misconduct. Following an investigation into the matter, the hit MTV series resumed filming in late June. According to the network, the allegations were found to be "not credible and without merit."

In recent weeks, a number of other celebrity couples have shared exciting baby announcements of their own. Singer Michael Bublé and wife Luisana Lopilato welcomed baby no. 3, daughter Vida Amber Betty Bublé, in late July. Meanwhile, supermodel Chanel Iman and her NFL star husband, Sterling Shepard, welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Cali Clay Shepard, on Aug. 10.
