Supermodel Karlie Kloss Announces Engagement To Joshua Kushner
Supermodel Karlie Kloss is ready to tie the knot with her longtime boyfriend, Joshua Kushner.
On Tuesday, July 24, 2018, the former Victoria's Secret Angel took to Instagram to announce that she and Kushner, an American businessman, are engaged after six years of dating.
"I love you more than I have words to express. Josh, you're my best friend and my soulmate. I can't wait for forever together," Kloss wrote in a heartfelt post, captioning a cute photo of herself kissing her new fiancé on the cheek while taking in a gorgeous sunset. Alongside an engagement ring emoji, she added, "Yes a million times over."
For his part, Kushner kept his own announcement short but sweet. Sharing a pic of Kloss with his followers, he wrote "fiancé" in the caption, complete with a red heart emoji.
The notoriously private pair, who got together in 2012, have yet to reveal details surrounding the proposal. However, a People source revealed that Kushner reportedly "proposed a few weeks ago during a romantic weekend together in upstate New York." The insider went on, "They're both overjoyed and happily celebrating. Their hearts are full and they're excited to build their future together."
One thing Kloss, 25, typically doesn't publicly discuss is her beau's well-known connection to the White House. The 33-year-old just so happens to be the younger brother of Jared Kushner, the husband of Ivanka Trump and a senior advisor to President Donald Trump.
"It's not like I've ever wanted to be so secretive about my private life," Kloss told Porter in April 2018, while discussing her decision to keep her personal life out of the spotlight. She added, "There's no mystery anymore. I know in my life what really matters to me. I'm not trying to hide that from the world; I just really like having a more private private life...I've got nothing to hide, though!"
The longtime model isn't just thriving in her personal life — she's also killing it in her career and using her celebrity platform for good. After studying how to code at the Flatiron School, Kloss, who's close friends with Taylor Swift, started Kode with Klossy. The initiative, which launched in 2015, hosts summer camps and offers scholarships to young girls who also wish to learn how to code.
Congratulations to the happy couple on their engagement! It's certainly been an exciting summer for engagement news in Hollywood. As Nicki Swift previously reported, Ariana Grande and comedian Pete Davidson have been dominating headlines ever since the two got engaged after only a few weeks of dating in June. Meanwhile, Justin Bieber's quick engagement to his on-and-off girlfriend, model Hailey Baldwin, started its own media storm in early July. The couple had just rekindled their romance in June.
