Elmarie Wendel has sadly passed away.
On Sunday, July 22, 2018, the actress' daughter, Jennifer "JC" Wendel, took to Instagram to announce that her mother, who was best known for her portrayal of Mrs. Mamie Dubcek on 3rd Rock from the Sun, has died. She was 89 years old.
"#ripelmariewendel you were a great mom and a bada** dame," she wrote, captioning a snapshot of the '90s sitcom's cast on a magazine cover. Honoring her mother's work in the entertainment industry, she added the hashtags, "#thirdrockfromthesun #mrsdubcek #georgelopez #thegeorgelopezshow #littlemarysunshine #nancytwinkle #broadway #coleporter #vegasheadliner."

"She was raucous, funny, endearing, and terribly, terribly sweet. Goodnight, Mrs. Dubcek, wherever you are."
