Is Rachel Bilson Dating Anyone Now Since Her Split From Bill Hader?
Bill Hader's love life had been shrouded in mystery since his divorce from his ex-wife of over a decade, Maggie Carey. But we do know he has been linked to multiple women since the split, including a brief and slightly public relationship with Rachel Bilson.
The "Barry" star reportedly met Bilson on the set of "The To-Do List" in 2013, but it wasn't until 2019 that they struck up a romance. The two were spotted on a coffee date in Hader's hometown that December, and the following month, they attended the Golden Globes together as a couple. Things escalated rather quickly, with a source noting that the two had palpable chemistry and thoroughly enjoyed being around one another. "They spend a lot of time together and it seems like a serious relationship," they told People at the time. "It seems like a fun relationship," they added, dishing that "The O.C." alum "won't stop laughing when she's with Bill" and that Hader was "very sweet and considerate to her." But alas, they split after only six months of dating, and two years later, Bilson admitted that Hader was one of her biggest heartbreaks.
Hader moved on to date actors Anna Kendrick and Ali Wong, while Bilson has kept her love life under wraps, although the actor has confirmed she has since met someone new.
Rachel Bilson confirmed that she's in a relationship
Not much is known about Rachel Bilson's love life post-Bill Hader, but "The Hart of Dixie" actor admitted that she is currently off the market. In an appearance on Alex Cooper's "Call Your Daddy" podcast, Bilson dished that she is "not" single at this time, although she refused to divulge further details, perhaps to protect her relationship.
At the time, Cooper asked her whether or not she was single, and Bilson only offered a brief response: "I am not," she said. The host decided not to pry, but she was able to coax a few more tidbits about Bilson's newfound love. "Is he bringing you coffee in the morning? Is he bringing you missionary [sex]?" Cooper joked, to which Bilson replied, "F**k yeah!"
While Bilson didn't disclose the identity of her new partner, fans think that it may be artist Zac LaRoc, who the actor had been spotted getting cozy with in May 2022. It also looks like they have been seeing each other for quite some time now, as Just Jared noted that they were seen together as early as October 2021. Good on Bilson for managing to keep everything on the down low!
Rachel Bilson took her split from Bill Hader hard
While Rachel Bilson found love with someone new, she didn't hold back in reminiscing her past relationships, including her fling with Bill Hader. But it turns out, it hadn't been a fling at all, with Bilson reflecting on the split on her "Broad Ideas" podcast and confessing to feeling utterly heartbroken when they parted ways. She said that it happened right when the pandemic struck and that her feelings were exacerbated by forced isolation.
"I could not leave my house. You know what I mean? I had nothing else to do but sit in it and deal with it and feel it," she said. "It was probably the hardest thing I've ever done, harder than childbirth." Her comparison resulted in some backlash, but she rectified her statement in her "Call Her Daddy" guesting. "Being isolated and not being able to connect with any humans, not being able to help myself. I got into a depression, all of these things," she explained. "That time having to be forced to face all of your s**t, I said, was harder than childbirth. Is anything more painful? F**k no. Maybe kidney stones."
And while breaking up with Hader destroyed her, she does miss one thing about him. In another episode of her podcast, she said: "His big d**k... We can keep that. And cut, let's move on."
